Yeh, I just checked there. Most are pre-orders but the first listing claimed to be "in-hand" and is currently going for $107.50 or buy it now for $750. Man you have to be a dumb ass to bid for more than it's gonna cost when it comes out in two weeks!! I could see it going that much if it was 2 years or something. I just don't understand these people.

STAR WARS REDUX…AGAIN An in-depth look at the upcoming Star Wars DVDs from ToyFare
By now, any self-respecting “Star Wars” fanatic knows that the original trilogy is finally coming out on DVD on Sept. 21. Actually, the truth is that the movies released on these DVDs will be the “Special Editions” that were released in the late ’90s. Actually, that’s not true either; director George Lucas has changed them yet again. Yes, according to an article in USA Today, the DVDs will incorporate three noticeable changes to the “Special Editions,” as well as a slew of minor ones that go by so quickly that “most viewers won’t notice.”
Let’s start with “Star Wars: A New Hope.” The big news? Rodian bounty hunter Greedo no longer shoots first. Before you cheer for the gun-jumping rascal Han Solo, listen to this: they shoot simultaneously. Yes, the blasts come at the same time – it remains to be seen whether this answers the question of how in the world Greedo missed from two feet away. Another change in the film is that the added-in Jabba the Hutt scene features a revamped, more realistic Jabba than the “Special Edition.”
In “The Empire Strikes Back,” the holographic head of the work-in-progress Emperor is replaced with the head of Ian McDiarmid (who plays the Emperor in “Return of the Jedi”), wearing the final version of the Emperor makeup. In “Return of the Jedi,” actor Hayden Christiansen (Anakin Skywalker in “Attack of the Clones”) has been inserted into the final scene of the three Jedi ghosts: Anakin, Obi-Wan Kenobi and Yoda. He replaces Sebastian Shaw, who still plays the older Anakin when Darth Vader’s helmet is removed. Another rumored change (not mentioned in the article) is the addition of Nabooan and Gungan parties to “Return of the Jedi’s” final celebration scene, but this may fall under the “most viewers won’t notice” heading.
All of the films also feature a new, cleaned-up digital transfer from the original films’ negatives, a painstaking process. At a press conference, “ToyFare” found out that each movie had approximately 50 pieces of dirt or scratches per frame, and the negatives were digitally cleaned up, which took one month per film. The work was worth it, because the results are fantastic. The Battle of Hoth scene was screened in New York, and the whites are so bright that you practically need shades to view them. The sequence looks pristine and sounds amazing.
The menus for each DVD are quite inventive, taking footage from each film and playing it in the background. In fact, the three planets in each movie represent three different menu options for each disc, and a different one pops up randomly when you reboot your DVD player. For example, the “Empire” disc has menus featuring the battle of Hoth, Luke visiting Yoda on Dagobah, and our heroes’ arrival in Cloud City. Pretty sweet, just don’t burn out your player by turning it on and off too much.
The box and disk art is also very cool—while original painted posters decorate the disks for each movie, the individual cases feature new, composite photo posters like the ones made for the prequels. (See pictures below.) Things get more interesting once you delve into the bonus materials on the fourth disc. You get a preview of “Episode III: Revenge of the Sith” and its companion video game, a playable demo of the “Star Wars: Battlefront” game, three behind-the-scenes and historical featurettes, original trailers and TV spots, exclusive new photos taken from the vaults, promotional campaign materials from back in the day, exclusive DVD-ROM content linked to the Web, and a new, massive 2 1/2-hour documentary entitled “Empire of Dreams: The Story of the Star Wars Trilogy.” Those trailers and TV spots are quite precious, since they date back to the original release of the first three films in 1977, 1980, and 1983. Plus you’ll get the promos for the Special Editions as well. We hope some “Revenge Of The Jedi” trailers and promo materials will be included. (We always liked that title better than “Return of the Jedi” – that’s probably why the new film is called “Revenge of the Sith.”)
On to those featurettes. Take “The Birth of the Lightsaber.” Lucas talks about how the original lightsaber was the flash attachment to a 4x5 camera. In “The Characters of Stars Wars,” Lucas admits that there was talk of Luke Skywalker being a midget, along with his entire family! (Hobbits, anyone?) Additionally, Han Solo was originally envisioned as a large, green-skinned monster with large gills (that would have made him quite apropos for “Hellboy”), and he was raised by Wookies and befriended Chewbacca at a young age. And “The Force Is With Them: The Legacy of Star Wars” includes comments from famous directors like Peter Jackson, Luc Besson and Jim Cameron.
The jewel of the documentaries is “Empire of Dreams.” It is an exhaustive, comprehensive film with tons of exclusive behind-the-scenes footage that shows how the cast had a ball making what was considered a modest little movie, while director George Lucas was nervous as hell that it wouldn’t come together the way he envisioned it. The movie also explores how Lucas wisely held onto the merchandising rights, which later opened the door to a massive personal fortune. (Hey, sometimes the little guy does win big!) And then there are those original, priceless, black-and-white audition videotapes featuring Berlin singer Terri Nunn and “Laverne & Shirley” star Cindy Williams auditioning for the role of Princess Leia. Plus you’ll see Mark Hamill’s audition, which he hilariously recited word for word, without missing a beat, at the New York media event promoting this set.
The producers obviously had a lot of fun pulling out all the old footage and promotional materials for the fans. Trilogy producer Jim Ward admitted that the infamous “Star Wars Christmas Special” did not surface, but that it is a guilty pleasure. Hey, we think “Star Wars” fans today would love to see it! Alas…
There is one more bonus item that we think will at least unite many fans on both sides of the aesthetic fence, and that is the sneak peek of “Star Wars: Battlefront.” As trilogy producer Jim Ward proudly proclaimed in New York, the forthcoming video game will “be the very first game to allow you to shoot Ewoks”. The “ToyFare” staff has already raised their glasses to that one!

Just checked that listing for the DVD on Ebay. Get this: The final bid was $162.50 and DID NOT meet the reserve!! WTF was this seller thinkin'. Nobody smart is willing to pay that much for a DVD set. He had shipping as $24 also. He shouldn't have had a reserve price, Damn the bid started at $49.99.
