You'll need to instruct me better on what I'm looking at, Joe. I can tell a small difference with the crowd on the ground, but everything else looks the same. Is that what it's supposed to be? That it's just a rumor?

Changes I'd like: Better sabers in ANH Cleaning up matte lines in space
Changes that wouldn't bother me: Ian McDiarmond as Emporer in ESB Hayden as Anakin's Spirit in ROTJ Cosmetic changes (ROTJ Vader No Eyebrows, cleaning up the matting, etc) New celebration scenes at end of ROTJ
Changes that would bother me, but I could live with: Added dialogue from emporer in ESB
Changes I would hate: Fett's voice.

if they keep on changing things they wont even be the same movies anymore. They need to leave well enough alone.

They're not the same movies anymore. The SE took care of that. I appreciate updated special effects and cleaned up video, but changing dialogue and story points is wrong, wrong I say!
Greedo should never have fired first! This takes away from the 'scoundrel' of Han's character. Instead of insightful, now he looks damned lucky to be alive. Appearantly ESB was and is still the best of the OT, since almost nothing was added/changed. I liked seeing more of the Wampa, and the extended cloud car scene was nice eye candy, but nothing storywise changed.
ROTJ was altered also, and I don't know what I think. Nice to see more people in Jabba's crib, but putting a Yuzzem (what the ewoks became) as the lead singer and changing the song was bad. Didn't change the story, just changed the picture. Also, I think adding the Oola/Rancor scene detracts from the movie. Before, you saw that Oola went down, but you didn't know her fate. So when Luke fell down, you're eagerly awaiting the outcome. When you see the rancor, you're in awe of it and wonder how Luke's gonna get out of this one! Now, with seeing Oola's death, Luke's fate is not a surprise. Minor stuff, but I think it still changes the movie a little. Yes, I know that everybody's seen the movie and we all know what's going to happen. But think of the kids, man, the kids! Maybe seeing how vicious the Rancor is helps out with Luke? Maybe it looks like there's no way he can escape? I dunno.
I'd like to see Blue Ion blasts in ESB, personally. But that's only to fit the world of X-Wing Fighter and all the X-Wing games...

Amazon.com shows that estimated shipping date is 9/24 with estimated arrival 9/27-9/29. If the release is the 21st, that means I get it last Hopefully that's just the info they have, and they'll actually be shipping it a week earlier... so that I'll have it on the 21st, like everyone else!

Looks like you buy the figures separately for $9.96?
Also saw this on Thedigitalbits.com: The Digital Bits: Insider's Guide to DVD - available at Amazon and bookstores everywhere! MY TWO CENTS - 8/25/04 - by Digital Bits editor Bill Hunt We've got a short (but mostly sweet) post for you fans of Star Trek and Star Wars today.
First up, Lucasfilm and 20th Century Fox have officially announced that they'll be releasing a trio of much anticipated "double feature" DVDs on 11/23. Star Wars: Animated Adventures - Droids will include select episodes of the original 1985 Droids animated series edited into two feature-length films - The Pirates and the Princess and Treasures of the Hidden Planet (both 86 minutes). Star Wars: Animated Adventures - Ewoks will also include select episodes of the original 1985-87 Ewoks animated series edited into two feature films - The Haunted Village (88 minutes) and Tales from the Endor Woods (89 minutes). Also on 11/23, you'll get Star Wars: Ewok Adventures, which includes both live-action films from the 1980s - The Caravan of Courage and The Battle for Endor (both 95 minutes). All three of these DVDs will carry an SRP of $14.98. Unfortunately, I suspect MOST of you were hoping for the Droids and Ewoks animated series to be released complete with all the original episodes, but such is not to be (at least not this go-round). Here's a look at the cover art for all three titles... Go to the site for pics. Not sure if I'll buy any except for maybe the Droids set.

The digitalbits.com will be reviewing the DVD's soon: Now then, I'm off to L.A. this morning to attend Lucasfilm's official Star Wars Trilogy DVD press event. And you know what that means. Yes... with any luck (pending Lucasfilm's approval), I'll soon be able to post our in-depth review of the single most anticipated DVD release in the history of the format. So do keep checking back, will you?
