I betting that it's not lower than 65 degrees that day. Cold compared to the 90s we've seen recently, but nothing more than a light jacket! hehheh.

Well, it probably doesn't much matter, since I don't think any of us preordered on the first (or second) shipment....

I saw on G4 where the official street date is Nov 22. I don't think Microsoft would debut on the 25th, which is the day after Thanksgiving. That would be insane! I haven't decided where I'm getting the 360 yet.

When Christy bought my xbox for me, she got it from Sam's and it came with two controllers, two games (Rallisport Challenge and HALO), and the DVD package. Sounds like MS is sort of doing this with their $400 package. I'm sure that there will be various pre-packed xbox's after their debut. Just gotta check Sam's, since they're the ones that always do stuff like that.

Wal-Mart has 360s up for people to play. I think the Franklin Wal-Mart has Call of Duty 2 on it. Looks superb! It looks like computer graphics. Remember how you felt when you saw how much better Halo 2 looked over Halo? Well that, my friends, is nothing compared to the graphics of the 360. I can't wait to see my Enzo Ferrari racing through the streets of New York this fall. It will be a thing of beauty.

I sold a couple of my books yesterday and put a little more on my 360.
My bro-in-law said he's gonna have enough cash to buy it, but he's too late to get on the list. He said the guys at GameStop (in North Dakota) said he could buy someone's if they didn't pick it up at midnight that night.
If I have enough cash, I think I'll pick up Call of Duty 2. I really enjoy playing the demo over at WallyWorld.

Bungie is reporting some info on the 360, mostly in regards to Halo and Halo2 (understandable) First, both games will be backwards compatible, but you have to have a hard drive. The hard drive holds the emulation software that allows the 360 to play Xbox games. Second, the emulation software can be downloaded via Xbox Live. If you don't have Live, xbox.com will have the files available for download and then those files can be burned onto a disc and then loaded onto the 360. Third, the 360 can be connected to an original Xbox in the regular ways (either crossover cable or regular ethernet via a router or hub). Of course, a copy of each game is required for each system. Fourth: Over 200 games will have backward compatibility. With more on the way. Link to list Battlefront 2 isn't listed, but I'm sure it will be in the near future. -edit- I was reading some things tonight. Apparently the 'free 1yr Xbox Live Silver' is a bit of a misnomer. All 360 owners get 'free silver accounts' just by owning a 360. It doesn't come with the core system because you have to have a hard drive to play online. So why is it free? Because you can't play online games with it. That's reserved for the Gold accounts. Which, by the way, are $70/yr now (just saw Wal-Mart listed them at $50). I paid $50 for my account last year. The plus? The 'Silver' account will allow you to connect for downloads and updates on various games. There are also demos and videos available. Pretty cool, since before 360, you could only get updates with a live account, or a disc from a magazine. I'm not really complaining, but the way the 'silver' account was marketed made me feel that by buying the $400 system, I'd get to play live free for a year.

Went by Gamestop today to check on my pre-order. They said they don't know if I'll get mine before Christmas since I'm on the 3rd shipment. I may try to stakeout Walmart or Best Buy. I also talked to the lady who works in the video game dept at Best Buy. She said people may camp out the day before at their store. Sounds like I'll be screwed until Gamestop gets their 3rd shipment whenever that is.

Yeah, I think I'd yank my cash out and drop it elsewhere. I talked to my bro-in-law this evening. He said that he thinks he's got a good chance on getting one either from Target or Best Buy. He says that in North Dakota, there's a better chance because there's less people. I guess he'll find out when he gets off work Monday. He says that the weather's already like 5 degrees at night now, so not a whole lot of people are camping out. Little different here....
