Just started watching the Firefly episodes my buddy lent me--very well done! My husband is a sci-fi channel addict and most of the stuff on there is, well, sorry--CRAP. I think they made a big mistake cancelling this show in favor of cheesy movies with giant rubber snakes and bugs!  I'm looking forward to the movie now! |

Yeah it was cancelled before it's time but it was cancelled on just the regular Fox network....the biggest mistake ever made

Uh, yeah, umm I meant Fox...stinky programming, poorly written shows...get those two mixed up all the time...  My ignorance preceeds me.... Still looking forward to seeing the movie after I finish watching all the TV episodes  |

Firefly, has found a new home on the Sci Fi Channel. All existing episodes will air this summer, though there is no word on a second season. The cult favorite Firefly alights on the Sci Fi Channel! Fans of the cult-hit series Firefly will be pleased to learn that the show has been picked up by the Sci Fi Channel--just two months before the release of Serenity, a Universal Pictures film based on the series. For the uninitiated, Firefly is a "space Western" set 500 years from now, in a spaceship that cruises the outer borders of the planetary system that humanity has taken as its new home. The crew is made up of rebels who are fleeing persecution by the unified government known as the Alliance. Firefly made its debut on Fox in 2002 but was canceled before the end of its first season. The Sci Fi Channel will air all 15 existing episodes, including the three that never made it to TV, starting on Friday, July 22. So maybe a possibility for a Firefly Season 2...here's hoping  |

Cool! I really liked this show and had thought about buying the DVD so I could see the unaired episodes, but now I can just tape them all from SciFi!!

I like The Inside. But my favorite Adam Baldwin moment is when he disintegrates at the end of X-Files!
Anyway, the Serenity trailer was on Batman Begins, but the sound was all messed up. It made me very angry, but I was excited to finally get to see it. I tried the link earlier, but my computer doesn't do movies really well.

I was lurking on the Dallas boards and they all got into a preview screening. They are saying it's awesome, as good has RotS even. I tried to get tickets to the preview screening but it sold out in 3 minutes.  If anyone wants together and watch some of the episodes maybe we can have a Firefly night. |
