Saw it on Friday night--thought it was really good, but I tell folks who haven't seen the movie or the series to be sure and see Firefly first. Already knowing about the background of the characters made the movie better (at least in my opinion).

Agree with you there. If I wouldnt have bought the box set this month I would have been lost on a lot of the movie
