The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants
Christy picked it up and I have to say it was good. Bit of a tear jerker, especially if you've had to deal with situations like the characters have. I'd recommend it... because it feels cleansing.

I'm sure it is cleansing. It lets you get all your gay feelings out.

I'm sure it is cleansing. It lets you get all your gay feelings out. If letting my gay feelings out includes looking at four teenage chicks, then I'll be getting my gay feelings out a lot more in the future.

Ha! You sound like my husband Toby! Saw Narnia on Saturday--pretty darn good! A movie the whole family can enjoy. Lots more I want to see--Walk the Line, Pride and Prejudice, King Kong, Memoirs of a Geisha, Harry Potter...and the list goes on. Most of those I'll probably have to wait for DVD. Sitters are pricey and with the exception of Harry Potter, the others would either be inappropriate for Megs or bore her to tears making her whine and be poopy throughout the movie.

Saw Memento the other night. Talk about a mindf#@k! The movie went from end to beginning and you couldn't tell who was really telling Guy Pearce's character the truth.

Harry Potter was quite a bit darker this time around, but I don't think it's anything that Megs can't handle. I think Rod's girls did fine with it. David wouldn't have enjoyed it, I don't think.
John, have you not seen that movie? Christy and I rented it before we got married. It was a great movie, I thought. But yeah, you totally know what's going on until you get to the part where you started, if that makes sense.

Christy rented Sky High the other day. Pretty good. I like how it's a school for all kids with super powers, no matter what their alignment is. I think that it would make a decent series as well.

Wired for some reason I did finish out my thought.
We were going to see it at the dollar theater but didn't want to risk a kids movie at the dollar theater.

Amen to that Elizabeth! Megs and I saw it over the summer. Honestly, I was dreading it but she REALLY, REALLY wanted to see it. All in all, it was pretty good! Megan thought Warren Peace was cute. Eesh!

Megan went to a slumber party this weekend so Rod and I went to see King Kong--good special effects, but looooonnnnnggggg. By the time we got to Kong on the top of the Empire State Building we were hoping the girl would climb up the ladder and push him off already!

I'm still working through the Smallville seasons from Netflix. I'm starting Season 3 this weekend. Of course, I'm spending much more time writing on my dissertation than watching TV

My brother said he saw Narnia and he liked it. Which is really weird because his taste in movies is, well, um, unrefined... So I guess I'll have to give that one a looksie.
Oh, and you better get that dissertation done! The emperor isn't as forgiving.

Yes oh Dark Lord! Don't choke me out yet---I've just finished the last two chapters and the Empress is reviewing them. I await her approval to proceed to my committee.

Saw Brokeback Mountain last night. Very good movie. Only grip I had was Heath Ledger was kind of hard to understand at times.
