Nothing like a pregnant woman with a gun.
Even in the Star Wars universe the maternity clothes are unflattering.
I'm surprised that she's not carrying a shotgun and missing a couple of teeth.

Other than that, pretty cool. (I guess) I think this packaging is my least favorite.

I just find it funny how it says "Republic Senator" in big, bold letters like it's something menacing. The packaging is alright, but if I were to go out pregnant in battle, I definitely would have no idea what to wear.

I look at it, and all I can think of are cross-your-heart bra ads from the late 70's to mid 80's.

I think she could have picked something that didn't force you to look at her boobs. Not that I needed much 'forcing' to do that. Might as well put some word or logo on her ass too, while we're at it! heh.

One of the things I've always loved about Star Wars toys has been that they sort of set the standard as to how a figure should be packaged. GI Joe followed Star Wars packaging, but with slight changes. From 1977 until 1985, the packaging was almost unchanged (except for the logos) and was easily recognized from aisles away.

Since then, other companies have altered this basic design to meet their expectations. Everyone was fighting for that 'uniqueness' that ultimately blended into everything else. Take a look at the toy aisle, and you'll notice that nothing really strikes you as unique. The OTC and VOTC figures really stand out because no one uses black. It's almost always red.

Now we have the ROTS toys, and guess what? The package is almost all red. No longer do we have a cardboard back with a little bubble (later bigger bubble) with our heroes inside. We just have a big bubble that could easily be mistaken for a transformer, or God forbid, Yu-Gi-Oh -- bastard son of Pokémon.

Personally, I would have welcomed a return to the original format, similar to the OTC figures. Maybe instead of the silver border, maybe a red metallic border? I dunno. Maybe have the background black and fade into flames at the bottom? I dunno.

I'm not knocking it, I'm just saying I'd do it differently. Maybe something less busy and not aimed towards the ADD and ADHD kids.

I meant by the complaining was that how the fanboys since Episode I wanted Padme to show some "skin"...now she is carry two children inside of her and wearing a harness that just so happens to make some anatomy pronounce....whose complaing...the fanboys
