So it's finally happening. Luke was doing some work on R2 because of some odd behavior and happens across a very old recoding. It's of a young Anakin talking to a beautiful brown-eyed woman. Luke is of course excited since he and Leia have never even known their mother’s name. And he thinks this might be her. (It’s the scene in Padme’s apartment where Anakin tells her about his nightmares.) R2’s strange behavior continues, he keeps trying to write over the memory chip. Luke calls in a old friend to take a look at R2. The friend finds another old recording this one of Padme and Obi-Wan. (This one wasn’t in the movie.) At this point Luke and Leia find out her name is Padme. The friend tells Luke that the reason he can’t get to the rest of the information is R2 won’t let him. He tells them that R2 is protecting Luke.
Then some stuff with bugs and a hive mind. Jedi run around and say things. Han shoots at stuff and flies the Falcon. I’m being flip it’s actually a decent book. The bad thing about me recommending the book is you almost have to have read the NJO, the jr Jedi Knight series and the Jedi Academy series.
I’m really very please Luke and Leia finally get to find out the events of RotS. I had hoped a book would be written that took place early in the timeline. In the NJO they never confirmed nor denied Luke and Leia knew anything about their birth or Padme's death.

Finished the second book a few days ago. Ok book like the first one. Highlights include -Luke sees holo footage of the temple purge and that Anakin killed all those kids. -The Solos are grandparents. Jacen got himself a little girl. -And because of a vision about her being harmed went and started a war. (Sound familiar)

I just cant seem to get into Dennings writing style. All of the characters seem to have gone braindead since the New Jedi Order.

All of the characters seem to have gone braindead since the New Jedi Order. I'll have to agree with you there. I'm curious to see where everything goes in the LotF series.

Finished it a while back but haven’t felt like commenting on it. So work is quite right now so he goes.
It was ok little read.
Dennings writes great Han and Leia scenes so their parts where fun even though they are running around trying to stop Jania from doing some real stupid stuff. So the bugs lose and the good guys win.
Finally R2 shows Luke Anakin force choke Padme and how she dies. Leia is finally a full fledged Jedi Knight Luke restarts the Jedi Council
So really it was just 3 books a set up for Legacy of the Force which starts in May.
