Here's something I came up with the other day...
It may be a little flawed, but I think you get the general idea.
Upon finding out that Owen and Beru are unable to have kids, Obi Wan asks them if they will raise Padmé’s child. They agree and can’t wait to raise little Luke Lars. Wincing, Obi Wan tells them that Luke will have to keep his name, Skywalker, simply because Luke Lars is dumb.
Padmé leaves with Bail Organa for Alderaan. He has taken her under his wing since Anakin has turned to the Sith. They both decide to raise the child as their own, leaving Anakin out of the picture, since Anakin knows nothing of the pregnancy.
Obi Wan, Yoda, Bail Organa and Padmé arrive at Alderaan, just in time for Padmé to give birth. Obi Wan takes the boy with him, but Yoda instructs Obi Wan to rendezvous with him on Dagobah. Yoda stays behind to tend to Padmé and learns that a girl has also been born.
Obi Wan arrives on Dagobah, followed shortly by Yoda. Yoda inspects the young Skywalker for his innate force abilities. Yoda prophesizes that the boy will turn Vader back. But until the time comes, he must live on Tattooine, where Yoda knows that Vader will never return.
Obi Wan arrives at Tattooine and delivers the young Skywalker to the Lars. He tells them that he will live not too far from there, and if anything happens, he is to be contacted. He will be known from then on as Ben Kenobi, since Obi Wan was a silly name to begin with. If he’s not there, he’s probably on some damn fool idealistic crusade.
Luke grows up on Tattooine, knowing only of his father what Owen tells him. Owen wants to keep Luke as ignorant as possible when it comes to his legacy. Since they couldn’t have kids to begin with, he wasn’t going to lose his only son to some prophecy. Especially when he’d be a good cheap helper on the farm.
Leia grows up on Alderaan, a planet that gave up weapons during the Clone Wars in order to maintain peace. Padmé is able to raise Leia, but dies when she is two, due to the fact she’d been addicted to weapons and was unable to get her ‘blaster fix’ on Alderaan. Bail also made sure that Padmé never left the planet.

Yes, unless the world ends or we die. But if we die, I'm sure we can see it in heaven. Can't see it in hell, since hell is only reruns of various star trek episodes.
