Seems like everyone is having family struggles this year.....
I now have been added to this list....
One of my closest cousins had a stroke Saturday morning at the age of 39, he is currently in ICU at Providence Hospital. Mike, my cousin is in an induced coma, hopefully to allow his body to heal, it appears that the bleeding has stopped to his brain, he is currently has no feeling on his left side, he moves every-now&then on the right side, he also tries to squeeze hands.
I will be offline until hopefully this tragedy passes and my cousin Mike can be with his wife and 4yr daughter and the rest of our family. If you are a person of faith like I am, please include him in your prayers.....

Good news! My cousin has awaken, He isn't able to talk, but he can hold your hand with his right side, he knows who is talking to him, he also makes jestures, like to say I love you. This morning he was trying to write.
He is not out of the woods yet, but each day he is getting better.

he sounds like hes getting better for sure,it will be a slow process im sure but he will get better over time.That is great news Rod.

Just wanted to give you guys an update....
1 week later, my cousin is still in ICU. He has had some stuggles this week, he has been fighting a temp of 102 most of the week, but he was taken off of the ventalator and is breathing on his own. His eyes today finally don't look exhausted. Still has atleast 1 more week in ICU acording to the neurosurgeon. I keep my hopes each day that he will no longer be paralyzed on his left side, it hurts me that he wants to see his daughter and can't. I pray for him each day. I appreciate you thoughts and prayers, and I do miss you guys.

Toby, I may take you up on that offer, this has been a stressful time, in the last three days at work I put in 40hrs, then today i worked 6hrs on my day off, My Distric Manager was there Friday, then Tomorrow(monday) all the store mgrs in the the district are coming down, then....the Regional Vice President is coming on Tuesday,....
This is alot of stress this week, if I don't end up in a mental institution, I may try to get together with my friends(you guys of course).

Give me a call sometime - I have a test tonight in Govt, but he's giving it at the second half of class, so there's no telling how long I'll be there tonight. Not past 9 tho.

Yesterday, at about 4:30pm, my cousin, Mike Torres passed away. He fought off pneumonia twice this week, but blood clot stopped his heart and he wasn't able to come back.
He is at Wilkerson-Hatch funeral home, rosary is set for monday evening and burial is on Tuesday.
