Hitchhikers Guide BBQ

Hey All!

Twice a year Rod and I get an "extra" paycheck because of the way the pay periods fall each two weeks. ANYWAY, we're looking to buy a new projection tv this weekend and also noticed that Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is coming out this weekend on DVD...

Would anyone be up for a Hitchhiker's Guide BBQ at my house? I'm looking at either some time next weekend or the weekend after that. We'd provide burgers, dogs, condiments, etc. if others would be willing to provide chips and drinks.

Let me know preferred dates/times if you'd like to come.

I will be working on Saturday, but I will be off on Sunday....and especially since the Cowboys don't play until Monday.

Great! So far it looks like things are shaping up for Sunday afternoon, which is fine. Let me know if there are other times that would be better as well. Also Tob if its a matter of kiddo-duty, please bring David and Zada. That goes for your kiddos too Rod. We have a kid-friendly house complete with lots of toys, movies, peanut butter and mac-n-cheese, mmmmm!

Well Joe and I are out Sunday unless it's pretty early Sunday. Got to be at work Sunday at 2:30.

Checked Christy's schedule, and she works all day (9-5) on Sat, and open to 1:15p on Sunday, so Sunday would be best for us....

And hold your horses Elizabeth--if everyone is ok with it, we can put the burgers and dogs on around 1:00 or 1:15 so they don't get cold for Christy and do the socializin' and movie watchin' later in the afternoon. That way, you can at least come have some lunch. Will that work for ya?

FYI to everyone else, I've emailed an evite to everyone I could find email addresses for. It lists our address, a map and our phone number. We'll be looking to see everyone around 1-ish on Sunday!

Thanks Rod and Toby! We really enjoyed having you over! As for the herd of children--very little bloodshed + lots of Doritos = happy children which = happy parents! You guys and the rest of the FF are more than welcome any time!

As for those who didn't make it, we'll just have to have another one as long as Toby promises to bring more ice cream. Guess what I'm having for dessert tonight!

And yes Rod, you start offerin' up vittles and entertainment, we're there!

I hear ya there Amy! I just turned in my first 3 chapters to my committee. It looks like I will be proposing on Oct. 5th. and then it's on to the IRB (cue the Darth Vader music ). THEN I will finally be able to pick the brains of all these wonderful Fan Force folks (oowha-ha-ha! *evil laugh* ) and find out why they love what they love.
