I want to get the ball rolling on what we plan to do for the DVD Release. I'd like for us to do something like we did for the OT DVD release, but maybe a little more energetic.
We need to have flyers/cards printed up to hand out, or possibly have a card table set up that we could put the flyers and cards on, so that people could pick them up on their own. Maybe we could get some t-shirts done up with the Bounty Hunter's Guild on them, for the people who don't costume. I'm sure Sunshine can get us in touch with her T-shirt person and get us a decent deal.
We also need to figure out where we want to meet up. Wal-Mart's obviously open. Hastings will surely do a midnight release. Target and TRU aren't usually open, but we could still check.
Please offer up suggestions and ideas, because it won't be long before Nov. 1st is here.

Cool. I'll get the Jr Baby Doll tee in the XS #sick# Oh, and if anyone's interested in throwing together some Jedi wear, Christy may be able to help you out with the sewing part. Just give her the heads up and set up a time to go with her to pick out the materials and whatnot. Also, we can take a trip up to Gholson to pick out some leather for a jedi belt. I got some experience with Rod's belt and wouldn't mind doing another one or two...

Here's a place I found on the internet. The minimum they'll print is 6. They have a good range of sizes. If I did a one or two toned logo it would run 18-20 a shirt. customink.com/cink/r.jsp?R=We might run into a problem with the logo. I never got around to getting permission form LFL to use it. But since it doesn't say 'Star Wars' and we aren't selling them it should be ok.

That sounds great, I am going to request off for that day. I hope that we can organize an event at one place. I know we could definately improve on Wal-Marts last showing for Star Wars.

So do we need to start talking about t-shirts? I'll need a month at the very least to get them done. If everyone wants to use cafe press it can take 6 weeks to get a shirt after ordering.
If we screen print I'd like to redo the logo. Update it a bit.

I got to see the Killeen shirts, and I have to say I was pretty impressed, especially since they were only $11.
On the front they have their names, in english and aurabesh (star wars basic language) and on the back is their emblem really big. The shirts are made of that heavier t-shirt material and look really nice. If we could get that kind of a deal on that quality, I think we should go for it. Not that cafepress is bad, but the value shirt is $9 and the next one up is $14.
I like that they have their names on the front also. Maybe we could do our screen names? And rather than doing the aurabesh font, we could use the mandalorian font that's out there.

How about using your screen name instead of your real name? That might be cool.

Well if everyone else wants to have their names on the shirts I don't have to order one. Besides I'll be coming stright from work anyway and Joe closes that night so he might not make it at all.

Anyone have any input as to where to do this? My vote is Hewitt Wal-Mart. I would like to do this here because it's a newer store, and it's a little nicer than the other two Wal-Marts. I feel that we'd be more appreciated there than at the other two.
Trivia and costume contests would be cool if we had enough time - Maybe John could scrounge up some good ROTS questions from his SW Trivia game. We could pick up some of those 1st place ribbons from the Dollar Tree to give out for costumes. (One year for Halloween, they gave out these and each one was Best whatever-you-were-wearing costume) We might be able to get the place we do this at to donate some prizes for the contests, like posters, notebooks, lunchboxes, puzzles, and other cool SW stuff) And since it's Halloween, people will be in costume, and it could be possible to get the place to hand out candy for the kids...
We also need to have flyers and cards printed up so that people can become members, if they want. I suggest that if we can, just set them on a table so people can pick them up as they want.
Just ideas, just ideas. If anyone has anything to add, please do. Speak up!

I was thinking we should check with Hastings. The people were nice to us at OT DVD night.
They let Tammy and I yell out trivia questions. I wished that night had, had prizes to hand out. Not necessary good ones either. Cheap joke prizes would have cool.

Hastings was fun, but the only downside was that it was rather small in that area. Maybe if we get in touch with them a little earlier to maybe have something set up so that there's more room. I know that I was hot there, but I think now that I have that wicking shirt it'll be cooler.
Any other nominations for locations? We've got Hewitt WM and Hastings.
