Meeting: When. Where.
I'd say my house... but Christy's off, and we could probably do anything. Suggestions?

Here's what I propose. Dinner at my place, say 6:30ish. If you are opposed to the menu, let me know, and we can adjust accordingly. Appetizer: Salad. I have Ranch Dressing, if you prefer another type, bring it. Entree: Skillet Pizza Casserole - ingredients: ground beef, marinara sauce, mozzarella, parmesan, and pizza dough. Side: Italian-Style Breadsticks - ingredients: parmesand, oregano, basil, pepper, egg white. Dessert: Tripple Berry Trifle - angel food cake, vanilla pudding, milk, sour cream, strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, and whipped topping. I know Misty has some allergies, but I'm not sure what they are (eggs, peanuts, everything ) If adjustments or substitutes need to be made, voice them now.... Also, if someone can bring cups and plates and maybe forks (disposable) it would be greatly appreciated. And, I have kool-aid (no one even tries it ) and I'm sure we(or someone) can pick up some bush's tea. Also, I have a few sodas at the house - Wild Cherry Pepsi and Vanilla Coke. If you have something you want, bring it. Otherwise I got milk, water, OJ, and Kool-Aid (it really is good) Hell, I'll even break out the big table if we need to.

6:30's cool, earlier if you want, later if you want. Christy's G'ma will be (maybe) coming tonight, so we'll have 2 more. So I'm not really sure how the movie thing will pan out... Our niece will be here, she's 6, so puppet sex is out of the question. Probably want to chill on language as well, only esperanto. But bring'em, just in case they don't make it. stranger things have happened. - cindy, you coming? You're more than welcome, and bring your family if you'd like. Seating's a little limited, and I can't guarantee seconds on the food, but I do have KOOLAID.

food + kids + movies + Koolaid...we're there dude! Thanks for the invite, and please let us know if we can bring anything. Also, if you don't mind, I'd love to take a peek at that bad boy of a die casting machine you've made.

it's vacu-form, actually. I have no idea how to get into die casting, but if i did, the first thing I'd make would be those old star wars vehicles from the early 80s!
It's in the garage, garage is crowded, and hot, but you're more than welcome. Heck, we could even mosey on out to the room behind the garage and take a look at some of my stuff from growing up.
Rod said he'd drop by for his lunch, but his lunch is like at 5, so he won't really be here.

Small change of plans. Desert will not be Triple Berry Trifle. Apparently it only takes 20 mins to prepare, but at the end of the recipe it calls for 6 hrs of refrigeration. 20 mins i got, 6 hrs i don't.
So, in place, we've got ice cream, which can be topped with blue berries, strawberries, raspberries, whipped cream, and angelfood cake - that's the limited thing, we got the small 10oz package...
Everything else is on schedule

Thanks everyone for coming. I know it was a little crowded, but I'd say it went well. I was more than happy to share with Carrie (I don't think it's spelled that way), Cindy and Rod my stuff. I just wish it had been cooler in the garage/back room. I enjoyed digging out my 'vintage' stuff to show you. I do wish that I had a place to display them, but being in a rent house puts a limit as to what you can/will do. Painting David's room was just about enough 'improvement' that I wanted to do.
Anyway - Thank you, everyone. I have hosted things at my house before, but I wanted to actually 'host' as in provide dinner. Even though it was a little hard to navigate at times, I think it wasn't too bad. And having Star Wars on in the background is never a bad thing!
Thanks to John for bringing the TV trays and the cups! Thanks to Cindy, Rod and Megan for bringing the extra soda and the always in demand Cookies'n'Cream. David has enjoyed the Darth Tater today, so thanks to Joe and Elizabeth. Thanks everyone for coming and partaking!
Now I'll not 'host' again until we're in a bigger house - hopefully this fall.

Toby, thanks for the lunch/dinner, i would have definately stayed there if i could have. I enjoyed the burgers. It was good to see Cindy and her family again. Maybe we can have some kind of get together at my house next month, I will be on vacation from July 5th to the 12th.

If y'all are willing to come to Belton, my place is available any time I'm in town!
I've got a backyard, so we could bar-b-q too.
I haven't offered before because my TV's not really big or anything, and it seems like movie-watching is usually part of the plan. After seeing Rod's, mine looks like a playset!
Anyway, I'm offering, so any time...

I've been in the parade so many times, and all I can say is it always turns out to be the hottest day of the year!!
I can't imagine being in it in Star Wars costumes!
