I'd like everyone to start getting there at 400-430. Since the Drive in will fill up fast once the gates are open I wanted to have our cars parked in front.
Mr. Palmer said we could open early about 500 to let everyone have a chance at the raffle and face painting.

Everyone in costume gets in for free. If needing to change there, a place will be provided (camper). Those who don't need assistance or not wearing a helmet can change at her place.

Killeen wants to start setting up between 4-4:30. Gates open at 5. You can show up at any point. Costumers get in free.

Rod's taking me, and I think we'll leave sometime between 4 and 5. John's going, but I'm not sure if he's going with us or not. Robert, I'm sure you're more than welcome to ride with Rod as well, but you may want to ask him. I'd say if we're riding together, then we need to meet up at my house around 4p tomorrow. We don't have to get there early, but I figure it's a good showing if we come early and stay late. I'm sure they're gonna need people to help clean up afterwards, and I think we should help out with that as well.

Basically take 84 to Gatesville, turn left onto 36 (go under the overpass and hang a left) and it's a little ways down on the right - maybe 1 mile, or 2.

Google Maps: maps.google.com/ type in 2912 36 Gatesville, TX and then click on satellite. It's the big triangle shaped thing on the west side of the highway.

Rod's coming over to my place tomorrow afternoon. If John and Robert want to ride, then give me a call. Otherwise yall can drive out there ($10/car)

The double feature is ROTS followed by Longest Yard. Good times good times.

Bummer guys. I was hoping that we could all share in the experience. Maybe we could set something up for next weekend? Drive-Ins are cool, and if you've never experienced it, you should. For one reason, you don't have to worry about leg room!!!

Well, I checked the Killeen board, and looks like some of the SA people aren't going to be able to come. ObiJaun70 is having some leg problems, and can't stand or walk without hurting, so he's not going. Unfortunately, he's the ride for many of the guys from SA, so they won't be going either. Too bad. I was looking forward to having a big FanForce Drive-In love fest.

- edit: As for carpooling, I'm not sure we'll all fit. Rod is bringing his girls, and I'll be riding with him, so that'll make it rather cramped.... So John and Robert, you may want to Paper Rock Scissors it for driving. For some reason I was thinking that Rod was still in the Durango that he was able to take to Plano.

No, i got the car back 1-2wks ago, so i had to turn in the durango, I kinda got used to the car.....maybe I will trade mine in next year for one, who knows....

We did! Too bad you guys weren't there, you'd have had a blast! There were about 5 or 6 Jedi, a Sith (me), Chewbacca, Slave Leia, and a Stormtrooper. Everyone ate it up! Kids would follow us around when we'd walk around the lot, and everyone wanted to get pictures! Hopefully Rod's pictures turn out good, because I think Sierra took pictures of everyone we posed with!

Killeen raised $200 for the boy scouts by painting faces, drawing caricatures, and selling raffle tickets. I think they also sold burgers, but I'm not sure. Slave_PrincessJedi, aka Sunshine, really did a great job heading this thing up. She lives in Gatesville, works in Waco and is part of the Killeen Fan Force. She said she's contacted the Zoo to see about doing something there, so she'll keep us informed about it.

I am really looking forward to hanging out and doing things with them again soon.

I had a good time too,couldnt really see the picture(still to bright outside at 9:00pm)until about 9:15-9-:30 which totally borked the spacebattle part of ROTS.I liked the new longest yard though,pretty good although not as funny as I thought it would be.
