Is anybody interested in staying overnight on Saturday? I really want to get an Adam Hughes sketch since he is scheduled (at the moment) to appear.

U guys have any hotels in mind? Every time we call the Red Roof, they keep jacking up the prices.

I'll talk to Tammy. She and Fred know the hotels around the area pretty well.

so wizcon is no more? if so I figured it would be sooner or later. I mean every year I was there the con got smaller and smaller, that's a pretty good sign that the con wont be around for much longer.

www.brianregan.com/tour.htmlTickets look like they are still on sale. We probably need to get them together on the same order so we will be sitting together. I'm not sure if Misty will be going with us though.

Hey Phuong, Are you and Andrew still planning on coming to the con? I was checking hotel rates and the Best Western on Park seemed to have the best rates and best reviews. Let me know so we can reserve our rooms.

Drew and I are booked at the La Quinta for $29/night. We have reservations for both Friday and Saturday nights. We had to get the room with two double beds so we are willing to share. Just let me know.

for those that don't frequent the Fanforce.net boards: MidSouth FanForce will once again have a table at Fan Days, and we need your help! Sign up thread is here. We will keep the shifts short, 30-60 minutes. I know the schedule hasn't been released yet but this way we'll have an idea of who can help. Even if you just stop by for 10-15 min it will give those working the table an opportunity to take a bathroom break and stretch their legs. FanForce CRs: Bring promotional materials for your group! Even if you don't volunteer for the table, it's still for ALL FanForces in MidSouth; we can't promote your group if we don't have flyers, business cards, etc. If you have a banner, bring it! We'll try to work it in somehow. DOn't know about the con? Find out all about it right here!

Con was ok considering Jaime King, Hayden AND Adam Hughes cancelled. Had to park across the street behind the convention center. Here's an awesome Tom Hodges sketch which was the only thing I bought.

Adam Hughes cancelled at the last minute due to being sick. I have never dealt with such crappy traffic, both coming and leaving the show. Dallas closed the highway between I-35 and Highway 75 in downtown around where the museum is for the whole weekend. I didn't realize it until I had already exited and didn't see a "closed highway" sign. Dallas city had very poorly laid out a detour in which I lost my way. I found my way back to 35 and went the long way around. Arrrghhh!!!! I wasted about an hour trying to get around the mess. Coming back I dealt with two accidents, heavy traffic on 635 and extra traffic trying to get to I-45 due to the highway closure. I was dead tired when I finally got home.
