So far this game really rocks. The single player is top notch, again. The LIVE play is totally amazing. It's what the original Halo was missing.
It's a little different this time around, controls are similar, but the setup is really different. Takes a little getting used to. You'll see when you play it.

I got pretty far on the single player today. It was hard to put it down. I like being able to customize your player's skin and the dual weapon option.

Modified Hang 'em High supposedly coming out this month, as downloadable. Also, depending on how popular HeH is, a modified Sidewinder may also be available.
Man o man, I'm looking forward to some HeH!!

New maps are out. Also, an auto update came out, making it v.1.1 - so future halo nights will need to have xboxs with the update. Not sure where you can get it other than logging into live. There are 4 new maps. Warlock - Remember Wizard from Halo? Think updated, no ladders (vents), and somewhat wet. Containment - Snowy, big, walls, big, gates, big. You gotta see it to believe it. Turf - Haven't downloaded it, but it looks like an inner-city map, similar to the Headlong map, but more urban warfare-ish Sanctuary - looks like a cousin to Beaver Creek, with bases on each side, but a tower in the middle. For you Xbox livers (okay, me) - they'll be updating the matchmaking playlists to include the new maps (Team Preview for those who buy the maps) and some new gameplay. I'm looking forward to playing the Double Team (2v2) gameplay. I have a feeling this is going to seriously hamper my armor time. Plus my brother in law is on live now, so I have to play with him too!

The new MapPack was released on Tues, the 5th. It includes 9 maps, the Auto-update, and a documentary. All for the low low price of $20 Four of the maps are available for free download via Live currently, with the rest available for a charge. All maps will be made available for free on Aug. 30th on Live. Head over to Bungie for the rundown of all the maps. Turf - Free Sanctuary - Free Containment - Free Warlock - Free Gemini - Free Aug. 30 Terminal - Free Aug. 30 Backwash - Free Aug. 30 Elongation - Free Aug. 30 Relic - Free Aug. 30 I haven't had a chance to check out these maps, but hopefully I can download them soon. I am so ready to be nailed by the train in Terminal and hide in the fog on Backwash and jump on and off crates in Elongation. I want to storm the beach in Relic and run laps on Gemini. They all look like a lot of fun, and it looks like Bungie, once again, has come up with inspiring maps.

Just checked online via XboxLive and the Maptacular download is only $11.99 (plus tax - whatever that means). I may be able to pass that by the CFO...

Yeah, I usually play it on live. About the only time I play the campaign is when no one is on live.
John, that guy you're fighting now, you gotta jump on his back. Rod and I discussed this on Sat. and determined that's where you were.

Just go up close to him and it should say "Press X to climb onto Prophet" or some such thing. Hard thing is to beat the brutes that attack you. But seeing as you have it set on easy....
