They did a review on it on one of the shows on G4. It's sort of D&Dish.
Perks - no monthly fee, great graphics, good gameplay. Drawbacks - limited on the MMO part - meaning that once your party goes on missions, you'll not meet any other online players.
Also, they said the game is a bit shallow for the hardcore RPG'ers out there, but that was the point of this game. They wanted to make a game for those wanting to get into MMORPGs, but didn't want to cut into their social lives.
I'd say CoH players would probably scoff at the game, whereas other console RPG'ers would enjoy it. Looks cool to me, but I'm on a game buying ban until the 360 gets to my house.

Yeah you meet in town hubs form a party and when you go on quests and missions you get your own version of the world. I'm currently playing a Warrior/Monk. I was going to get Galaxies but I've heard that its gone down hill.

I played the 2wk trial of Galaxies. Wasn't bad, but I kept finding myself out in the desert searching for caches of minerals. ALL THE TIME. I mean, it was cool to go to Ben's home, see the Krayt Dragon skeleton and various other cool Star Wars locales, but it just seemed a bit too... involved. And that was before they made all the changes to the 'fun' of the world.
I also played the City of Heroes 2 wk trial and liked it a lot better. It seemed a little repetative with the going into buildings and killing all the various gangs, but it was still fun to team up with a few others and just wipe them all out. I'm sure once you get to the higher levels the game changes, but it was still a lot of fun.
Overall, though, I think I'll stick to my Halo2/XboxLive for all my online needs. Nothing like running around with your finger on the trigger.

I5 has bought some fun changes to the missions in CoH. Escort missions and NPC hero helpers in missions are great.
Also the two zones that they have added have some great content.
If only there was some way to combine CoH and SWG. #raised_brow#

I'm sure if you played around with the settings you could find something that's similar to Juggernaut, but from what I understand (and my experiences as Lara Croff) most CoH'ers prefer originallity.

I was watching CinemaTech on G4 this morning, and they had a couple of little shorts of CoH. The first one was from the game and followed 'Project 7' who becomes Evangel. Pretty neat stuff. The other was a claymation style short where a group of 'heroes' are dancing and then they go take on some of those nuts & bolts guys. Then it showed the City of Villians logo and some big guys says "your souls are mine" and the heroes start running to attack, then "To be continued" I thought it was pretty cool. - they just showed another short about Jimmy. Sort of a 50's style educational video about becoming a hero. Starts out with 'Jimmy' at the doc's office telling the doc he gets a burning sensation when someone says a certain color. 'Red?' no. 'Blue?' no. 'Periwinkle?' Whoosh. Then the doc takes him on a journey on how to become a proper hero. I'm guessing today is CoH day on cinematech.... - they're showing superhero games. And the shorts from the City of Heroes Film Festival. Pretty cool. www.gameinformer.com/News/Story/200508/N05.0829.1737.41000.htm
