The writer or the artist?
For me, the writing always trumps the art. I'd rather have a good story and average art than bad writing and good art.

Me too.
But if the art is really bad I find distracting (See Star Wars Underworld).
And speaking of comic book art...Could DH be getting any lazier with the art in Dark Times?

The art in Dark Times is hit and miss. Also, I won't buy a book if the art is too manga-like i. e. Teen Titans Year One.

I would say in today's world its artistry.I know it sucks but we live in a special effect driven society where content takes a back seat.

The art in Dark Times is hit and miss. Also, I won't buy a book if the art is too manga-like i. e. Teen Titans Year One. Ugh I hate it when manga shows up in the book I buy. If wanted the crap I buy manga
