So... I'm moving to Waco in a week or two, and I'm going to need to feed that comic addiction. Where are the best places to buy them? I'm more interested in new than back issues. Thanks for your help!

John and Elizabeth are the ones you should talk to! I think the only places to go here are Bankstons and Golden's. Hastings carries comic books as well, and I think there are a few other places, but I think most people here prefer Bankstons. Don't worry, we'll show you where it is!

Yep Bankston's and Golden's that's about it. Both have new comics Bankston's has a better selection. Golden's mostly buys for their pull list.

Yeh, Bankston's has more selection because they order more of each title and they don't hide new books with the back issues. Golden's has really slipped over the past couple of years. I only go there because of the owner. I buy half my comics at each store.
What titles do you buy?

Yes the stack is so big, it takes two stores.

I read Ex Machina consistently and currently I'm following Seven Soldiers: Shining Knight and Serenity. I love Dork Tower but I haven't been able to find it in OKC. And then whatever else looks interesting at the time, like the Star Wars Tales and the New Spring (Wheel of Time) adaptation.

Haven't heard of Dork Tower or New Spring, but Ex Machina is great! I collect mostly superhero books as you can see on the comic list thread(too many for me to re-type). I'm really digging the Infinite Crisis storyline that is building up with the various mini-series and DC titles!

Even though I'm not a comic book reader/collector, I have to throw my two cents worth in for Bankston's. Brent is a good friend of mine and has a way cool shop! As for other stores, I've noticed that the new Books a Million has some graphic novels in the back by the magazines.
