One to many “incidences” have lead to Mom needing to be moved to a different nursing home. Does anyone have any experience with nursing homes locally?

My grandfather was at the one on Maple & 25th for a short time. Horrible. He got out at some point. Wandered the streets.
He was at the one in McGregor for some time, and seemed to do well there. My grandmother was about to move him to the new place there in woodway/hewitt, but the doc suggested that moving him may make his condition worse (alzheimers)
Other than that, that's all I got.

I think all nursing homes must be a kin to hellish nightmares.
Even at St Catharine’s which is very nice had a rude surly staff. *sigh*
I'm going to go stand in the corner for a while.

I don't think I'd call 5 grand a month underfunded. It that they are run by corporations who hire anyone off the streets.
Mom has had some great aides but some real bad ones too.
And people who take these jobs should realize that it is the health care field. And if they don't want to take care of anther person they seek other employment.
I could literally rant about this for days.

I'm familiar with a couple here in Temple if you're interested, but I figure you want to stay closer to Waco.
My grandma's been in and out of a couple of them.
