The price of gas is rediculous. It would cost me OVER 40 dollars to fill my tank(16 gallons)IN A PASSENGER CAR!!.Right now I put 20 dollars worth and no more and just drive from home to work.Everyone in the oli buisness can go to hell and I mean it.

And everyone might want to invest in a locking gas cap too.

We filled up on Monday (2.39 HEB) and it was $40, but we were only 1/4 tank. It was 2.74 today at HEB.
Yeah, paying that much for gas is bad, but I don't think weshould curse the lives of those in the industries just yet. I'm betting we see $5/gal before we turn on the heaters.
And producing more oil won't solve the problem. The refineries are at peak production as it is, so even if Bush uncaps our reserves, it won't do any good. And I'm pretty sure that they can't build refineries overnight, even if the tree-huggers let them....

Yeah, i saw it today at $2.99....I can't believe it.......I saw this report on I believe it was CNN about 1 or 2 months ago saying that certain events were going to happen and that Gas prices could go up to $8 a gallon........with a 20 gallon tank it would cost me $160 just to fill up.........

I don't think it will get to $8 a gallon. I think the most we'll see is around $4. This is Texas after all, we usually are below the national average on gas prices. I think the cheapest gas I've seen is at the Texaco station on Waco drive next to Barnes and Nobles. It was $2.49 or $2.59 yesterday. I'll check again today when I go by. Maybe we should post here where we have seen the cheapest prices? Help each other out...

I saw $2.76 at the Hewitt HEB, can't remember the Wooded Acres price. $2.89 at Texaco near Barnes and Noble. I still have about 3/4 tank since I filled up on Monday. Going to Belton tonight so I bet I'll have to fill up soon.
