Cool Edit Pro has a filter called 'get off the phone' and that's what I used.

Here's what I've done so far. I only have my audio on it, since I have no other audio to put into it right now. This is just a rough cut, and I need to reshoot some parts. All the walking out of the base parts were garbage. I would blame John for it, but I think it was the tape. It's a about 1 MB of video, so it may take a few seconds to load. For this scene, I need to add them walking out of blue base, a part where SNAKE asks CASPER if anything's wrong with the warthog ("Is there?, CASPER, "UH...") but that's about it for that scene. I think the next time we can get together, we'll have a better direction, especially if I have a script in front of me. Plus I want to have the characters named and colors correct. Elizabeth had a great idea about a warthog stunt driver. I think we'll try it next time.

Here's the second part. Again, no audio at this point, but if you imagine Snake (green guy, Commander) saying: "See, if you throw one on top of the other, it bounces it up." Then Casper (red guy, Whicker) "Yeah, that's pretty cool. Can you make it do something other than go straight up?" Snake: "Sure can. If you just throw one a little to the side of it, see there?" Snake should be finishing his lines as he's throwing the grenades.

I added some temp voices to the first scene to give me a better idea of what I need. Still a rough cut, and isn't finished, but you'll get the idea. Link should work, but it may be slow. The file is actually smaller now. |

When do we want to get together to do it again? I pieced together a small bloopers/outtakes piece, but it probably would be better with some audio, and it's kinda big to put on my meager 5MB site. We can watch it next time anyone's over at my place.

I did a rough cut of the first scene. I need to reshoot the exit. I think the tapes I bought at Wal-Mart have something wrong with them, because at the beginning, they're all jumbled. Plus I need a slower exit from the base with Snake and Casper.

Almost done. I need to capture a few more parts from the tape, but the audio's all in place. I'll pick it up tomorrow. Looks like the only pickups I need to shoot is exiting blue base, a close up of Casper at the back of the base, Snake looking at Casper at the back of blue base, and the warthog driving off, just before we hear the whistle tip. It's looking good so far. I should have it done tomorrow. I'm too tired to continue tonight. |
