I have the tech part worked out, I just need two more boxes, another TV, a story, some time, and a few players in order to do a decent HALO movie. Any help?

I have had an idea on what we could do, and I think it hasn't been done yet. I don't know if you've heard of Bubb Rubb, but he's a bit of an internet celebrity. I have some ideas, and if you guys are interested, we could do it Saturday Night. |

Script's done. May need a little work, but for the most part, it's done. All we need is the players in it. There's 4 characters, but one is BubbRubb, and his part is taken care of already.
There's two 'sane' characters, tentatively named Snake and Casper. The other's me, Brood. I was thinking Joe for SSSnake Plissssken. I was thinking Robert for Casper.
The Casper part is only a few lines, the Snake part is the main part of the story, being the straight man of the joke. (Straight as in deadpan, not as in homo, jackass.)
I'll have to dust off my Cool Edit Pro...
I'll come up with a 'shooting' schedule soon. And I guess this could be done with only two boxes, but we'd need 4 players.

I have an idea how we're going to 'shoot' this. Since the tape's an hour long, it doesn't really matter what order we shoot things, I guess. The hardest part will be getting everyone to walk while looking at the ground.
Snake-blue
Casper-cobalt
Brood-gray
BubbRubb-black
I set the characters up on my box, but since that'll be the 'filming' one, it doesn't matter. Same with the game setting. That we can use my box for, since that doesn't matter which box we use.
If anyone's interested/not interested in doing a part, let me know, and everyone can read the part they want, and I'll put in the best for each character.
I think it will work really well.
Oh, and I've got the cables connected so that I can just plug in the camera and go.

Joe, Elizabeth, if you bring the 13" TV and if John brings his Xbox, we could hook up three. It would be good for 'filming.'
I just need to install cool edit pro to get the audio (and find the mike) edited into the movie.

Well, there is tomorrow night, depending on what time you decided to watch SKY CAPTAIN AND THE WORLD OF TOMORROW. If you catch either a matineé or an early evening show (7ish) we could still bust it out.

Thanks for helping with the movie, guys. Hopefully it was not all for naught.... I'll do some editing tomorrow, probably. I'll need to record some voices.
Robert, Joe, do you two have microphones on your computers? If you do, let me know. I have one here, but for some reason it records crackles.

Did some work last night. Was able to adjust the levels, and edit out the hiss/crackle with cool edit, so it's no big deal now. I was also able to fix the audio so it sounds better. Check out these clips. They should work nicely. Looked over some of the footage. A lot of the first is messed up, technical difficulties. We'll have to reshoot the first part, where Casper and Snake exit the base. It's like the right half of the screen just freezes. I may have to ditch most of what we recorded last night and do it over. |
