I got a pop-up virus on my computer today and have downloaded ad-aware,hijack this,spybot search and desrtoy,and they keep finding bad things .I use the destroy sofware but it keeps coming back,HELP ME!

Try turning off System Restore and then run the scan.

Is it a virus or spyware? If it's a virus, do yourself a favor and get McAfee 8.0. If it's spyware, run ad-aware every day or so.

its spyware,I have ad-aware and spy- bot and hijack this, and another anti-ad software that I cant remember the name of,anyway its gone now.ad-aware is really good.

I am sad to say my computer is fubar and I will have to do a complete format and re-install.My problem lies in micosoft internet explorer browser which a virus found its way onto my hard drive through IE,No more IE for me EVER .I have learned my lesson and will use a alternative browser from now on .Dont use IE because its too easy to get popups,and viruses linked with popups like mine.

for your information I dont do either,once youve seen 1 furburger you seen them all (except for gynecologists,LOL).I know better than to stay away from those sites..I had done a fresh format and re-install of windows and as soon as i started using IE I started getting popups that kept comming up and would not stop.the problem lies with IE which is by far the easiest internet browser to attack with viruses popups,etc.I will never use IE again..today I will re-format and re-install without usiing IE and outlook express.I will use another browser and another way to check my e-mail.

I haven't had any problems, but I do get the occasional pop-up. All I used is google's blocker and the Meaya Pop-up Ad Filter. If one don't get it, the other usually does.
Oh, and you're wrong, once you've seen one, you HAVEN'T seen them all. Oh, and they all taste different too. And feel different. Mmm mmm, sometimes I miss those days.... but anyway, really Robert, lay off the bad sites! And stop blaming bill gates!

furbugers are all feel the same except for the smell ,I just did re-install and everything right now is smooth as silk using mozzilla firefox browser,and yes it is bill gates faullt because I have never gone to bad sites ,and miicroshit 's internet browser and their other software is waaay to easy to hack.I have read what many knowledgable people around the internet say and they all say the same story-dont use internet explorer.

yes I am a hater ,halo is probably the only thing bill gates has ever done right.I have talked to many males in my lifetime and they all say the same thing- thingys all feel(to your tallywacker,heh) the same but they dont smell the same..Damn I cant even use the word c..unt in here?
