"But he's no Michael Turner, eh?"
There are only two people in my life that have captured my heart like Michael. One is his protege, Talent Caldwell, and the other, well, the other is to be remained nameless. I can't believe it that Michael has gotten on the thread about fantasy football.

And John takes an early lead on the DFW FanForce! He's up 55-0 due to a great performance by his Colt's offense and the Patriot's defense.
Also up tonight are the Eagles and the Nerf Herders.
Looks like a great first weekend! Saturday we have Tennessee and Miami playing. Green Bay and Carolina round off the weekend on Monday night.
For the first weekend, the StatTracker is available, so check that out on Sunday. It's pretty neat to watch your stats go up while you watch the games. After the first week it has to be paid for, so get it while it's good.
Good Luck!

I sure hope my other players pick up the slack for my QB's performance!
CRAP! THREE SACKS? sheesh. All I can hope is that Portis fumbles (yeah, right) and TB recovers. Then Johnson can throw some non-interceptions and a touchdown! man o man... I should have stuck with McNair.

I am looking up stuff about the other guys but Portis is my baby.

I wasn't talking bad... just wishing that WAS would screw up so Johnson could redeem himself, but all he could do was get sacked. Sad thing is that if I'd had my optimal players in, I still would be short. Looks like I'm gonna lose my first game! Looks like there are some really high scoring games out there, too!

can you believe I had Dante Culpepper as my QB and Dallas as my defense?!?!?!?!?!.........tough game, Dallas did look good the first couple of quarters of the game.......I think it gives us some to build on...
Hey Robert, remeber we lost the 1st game last year and we made it to the playoffs...so don't give up yet, I won't and I don't think John will either

Well, with only the Monday night game left, here's what we have.
The Fighting Banthas have cut the Maulers in half. The Banthas have 2 players playing on Monday and the Maulers are done. Thankfully these Maulers will be back in week 2. Maulers 69 Banthas 92+
The Skywalkers have almost walked their way to victory with the second highest point total. Unless the DFW FanForce can pull off over 25 points with their last player, the Skywalkers will win in their first duel of the year. Skywalkers 111 DFW FanForce 86+
The Waco Knights had a nice day, coming back from a big deficit, thanks in no small part to Culpepper. It's tough when your QB is playing against your DEF, but somehow the Knights managed to come out nobly. The Nerf Herders may look scruffy now, but they still have 3 players left, and only a 41 point spread. The Nerf Herders also have their QB pitted against their DEF. I think this will be a close one! Waco Knights 91 Nerf Herders 50+
No one's flown higher than the Eagles, and the Droids need over 34 points to do so. It ain't over yet, and the Droids' last two players may be the ones he's looking for. I say it'll be another close one! Eagles 112 Droids 78+
Will the DFW FanForce force an upset in the final minutes? Can the Nerf Herders' Delhomme be a culPEPPER too? Just how bad will the Banthas slice the Maulers? Will the Eagles keep their lead in a most impressive first game? Tune in tomorrow to find out the results of the first weekend of our Fantasy League!

This fantasy football stuff is pretty kickass. I have been watching the games a lot more closely now trying to learn the players and watching the stats. I am really glad we are doing this.

Tuesday morning roundup: The Banthas tack on 6 more in the first drubbing of the season. Maulers: 68 Banthas: 98The DFW FanForce didn't pull off the upset, but they did good enough to tie! Skywalkers: 111 DFW FanForce: 111The Nerf Herders tried, but they didn't pull off an upset. Waco Knights: 91 Nerf Herders: 83The Droids came close, but didn't pull off an upset either. Eagles: 112 Dis. Droids: 96 After the first week, here are the standings: - Eagles 1-0-0
- The Fighting Banthas 1-0-0
- Waco Knights 1-0-0
- Skywalkers 0-0-1
- DFW FanForce 0-0-1
- Disfunctional Droids 0-1-0
- Nerf Herders 0-1-0
- Maulers 0-1-0
I'd like to give a player of the week award each week this season. Team of the Week: Eagles. Great performance by Elizabeth's team. With a limited knowledge of football, she managed to pull of a dismaying display of points. NEXT WEEKS LINEUP: (8)Maulers vs (4)Skywalkers (2)The Fighting Banthas vs (6)Disfunctional Droids (3)Waco Knights vs (5)DFW FanForce (1)Eagles vs (7)Nerf Herders Good luck, teams!

How does the bench thing work? I am not getting that part.

You have ten playable positions, and six bench spots. You want to put your best players on the roster, and keep your reserves on the bench. Say your starting QB has a bye week, then you'd put your back up QB in his place. That way you don't have to scramble to find an eligible player. I did that in my first season. That's why I suggest that you have 2 DEF and 2 K so that if that team isn't playing one week, you can just sub your bench in. Also, if you have a player get injured, then you can sub someone else in and then look for a replacement at your leisure.
Any more questions?

I really have no clue what I am doing but I tweaked up my team a little bit but I think it didn't help because I am currently losing.

The team I drafted sucked at the beginning thats why I am changing my teams roster so much. Now I am making bad choices on players and I will likely be the bottom of the league now
