 Basically what it boils down to is that you're allowed two mistakes a year at HEB. By mistake I mean a 40 rating. 40 being the worst you can get. I got a 40 when whoever it was said I offended them. I think that it may have been some girls that wanted to buy alcohol after midnight, and to exact revenge reported me for offending them. Can't say for sure, but who knows. The second 40 was for being dumb and reacting rather than just doing what I was supposed to. I don't know if I have a case with a lawyer, and frankly I doubt a lawyer would take it. Especially since I'm broke as hell. I don't know what happened to the girl, and the only way I could sue is if they didn't suspend the girl. I was led to believe that was what would happen. But I've been lied to in the past... You think after 30 years I'd learn to keep my fracking mouth shut for once! Maybe God's telling me that I didn't need to work there anyway. Now I have to find a part time job so I can go to school. I only need to work Fri-Mon, morning to afternoon... I also found out that I am ineligible for work/study at MCC because of my VA assistance. Oh well, don't know I'd want to do that anyway. I also put in applications at Target, Wal-Mart, and Lowe's last night. I might try some places out at the Central Texas Marketplace.

Man, that sucks Toby. I swear, some managers think they can treat their employees like crap and get away with it. I hope things work out for you. Give me a call if you need to vent a little more.

Oh, I'm fine. It seems that the people that work in the business center have this attitude that cashiers and baggers are below them, and I get this attitude from a lot of the people that work there. There's really only about 3 people that don't act that way. I don't know why they are allowed to act as supervisors. Even worse, no one ever says anything. I've said something to a couple people, but I have no idea if anything came of it. Seems as though communication is almost non-existant there. I still hate the place, but dammit, I want to leave on my own terms, not theirs.

Talked to John. I've got Hidalgo on loan if we want to watch it. I haven't seen it. I've also got Belly, but I'm not sure anyone wants to watch that one. I've got a 19" TV here, we could hook up 2 boxes if we so choose. Or not, whatever... So just whenever you want to drop by... Robert, sounds tough. But at least you get to collect on benefits, maybe. I haven't earned enough yet to do that. But if you want to hurt them, a bomb usually works good. But I didn't say that... out loud or anything.  |
