Well, the FCC has started fining the stations that air Howard Stern because his show is 'indecent.' Nice. Does the FCC watch any afternoon TV? Why do they not fine other Clear Channel shows that have dropped the F-bomb and S-word SINCE Stern's incident? I'm telling you, free speech is about to be no more. The funny thing to me is that Stern's show is not nearly as bad as it's made out to be. Yes, there are sexual comments and innuendos, but have you watched Oprah? I think that we should listen to our local stations (owned by Clear Channel) and file a complaint ( www.fcc.gov/cgb/complaints.html ) anytime we feel they do something offensive. I know that I'm raging a little here, but do people not realize what's going on? Yeah, so they get rid of Stern, big deal. Let's see what happens when they take away Rush (drug-addict) or Sean Hannity. Or better yet, when the only radio stations on the air are the Top 40 ones where if you listen for more than 40 mins you hear the same songs over and over. I may not like or agree with the media in general, but I don't think certain parts of it should be yanked. I think the FCC should find something better to do than find a way to fill its pockets with ill-gotten money. Or at least DEFINE what is indecent or offensive. And by who's standards. I think I'm gonna be sick.
