Well, after talking to three people in charge at HEB, I may be able to adjust my availability so that lil' D doesn't have to fend for himself a few hours a day. What a pain in the ass it was. Talked to my immediate supervisor, she tells me that there's no way I can have a set schedule. I go to the Unit Director (I have no idea what this is) and get the same song from him. Then I mention that if I am expected to stick with the availability that I put on my application, then why don't they? I mean, the only day I was scheduled one week was the exact time I said I couldn't. Then, they do the same thing the next week, but not only does it conflict with my school, it conflicts with the training that I have with them! I guess he figured if I had to stick with it, they had to also, so he had me go talk to the other Unit Director and he sat down with me and actually LISTENED to my situation and told me that he'd work on it. Couldn't promise immediate results, but at least he listened and didn't just shut down. Urgh.
So, my availability is 3:30p-3:00a Thur-Mon. Until School lets out, then I'll be available on Tues and Wed too. This means I may miss meetings, but I'm sure I won't miss all the meetings.
