I'm glad they are going to be back to back episodes for each season. I hate a long hiatus(more than 2 weeks). I hope there are enough secrets to reveal. It seems like a lot has been revealed this season.

I think it is all good news. I think a set date will let everything wrap up really good. And all the episodes back to back is great too.

*Apparently "Big Mike" is suppose to be something in the premiere episode.
Who is this Big Mike...well he's the partner of the late, not-so-great, dead-baby-haunted cop/vigilante/murderer/Christian Shephard booze buddy/Sawyer fornicator Ana Lucia Cortez.

He was here LAPD partner...
Entertainment Weekly has a cheat sheet up of things that you need to remember about Lost in order to fully appreciate the premiere
* Walt- Psychically enhanced son of Michael. At the end of the second season, he and his dad hopped on a boat and got away from the Island. But at the end of season 3, he reappeared on the Island, looking older and taller, beckoning a wounded Locke to climb out of the Dharma death pit.
*Doctor Christian Shepard- Jack's emotionally callused, alcoholic surgeon father; also sired Claire on the down-low while Down Under. Died during a bender in Sydney; Jack was bringing his body back on Oceanic 815. At one point, Jack thought he saw Christian walking around the Island, spying on him and being all creepy and stuff. Doc Boozy Jr. ultimately found Doc Boozy Sr.'s coffin, but the body was missing. Whats up with Jack acting like his pops was alive in the season finale?
*Dave- Hurley's imaginary friend/loony-bin buddy, a tempting devil and the embodiment of his eating/control/fear-of-change/self-esteem issues. Last seen plummeting to his death on the Island. Was he real? Hallucination? Both?
*Ghosts- A possible explanation for that aforementioned Christian Shephard sighting on the Island. Ditto Mr. Eko's brother. Ditto Ben's mommy. I would say that for anyone haunted by the past like these, ghosts are, like, totally real. Anyway, I have a hunch that ghosts, figurative or literal, will play a big part on Lost this season.
*Jacob- a bearded, croaky-voiced spirit named Jacob who until recently only made himself visible — and audible — to Ben. But late last season, Locke paid a weird visit to this haunted house and met its spectral tenant, fond of rocking chairs and prone to hucking junk during fits of frustration.

I thought this was an interesting theory on what the finale and whole series is about:

Alright so seeing the big picture here. We have two guys one the beach, one is looking for a loophole...for what, nobody knows. What we do know is that this is not the first time that we have seen a recently "dead" individual come back as a person on the island. When we do see those individuals come back, it is almost certainly to direct John Locke. My theory is that this spirit, aka the smoke monster, has been directing John Locke for some time. He posed as Christian (Jack's Father) to convince John to bring the Oceanic 6 back, and that he would have to die. Why is this? Because John apparently could not die on the island, even though he had been shot previously (by Ben). The only person that could gain audience with Jacob is the leader of the others and ONLY the leader of the others. The spirit needed a body of a newly dead that could get audience with Jacob, therefore he appeared in the cabin with John, Hurley, and Ben to convince Ben that John was the new leader of the others. Once that had been done, and the things went sailing about the cabin, Ben was convinced. John became the leader of the others. All the spirit had to do was get john off the island, have him die, then have him brought back to the island. The spirit could then imitate his body, gain an audience with Jacob, and kill him. Lets not forget how singularly minded John Locke was about killing Jacob prior to seeing him. That individual was not John Locke.
Why I believe the smoke monster is the spirit you ask? First and foremost because the smoke monster imitated Ben's Daughter and told him to follow John no matter what, the imitation that has been seen before AND lead directly to the death of Jacob. Secondly because of the line of ash outside of "Jacob's Cabin", Smoke = Ash. Third because the deaths on the island from the smoke monster have always helped John, even Echo back in whatever season he bit the bullet, he posed a threat as "connected to the island" and was soon killed as people might start believing that he was the new leader of the others. Then there was the killing of Whidmore's people to help get John and others off the island. And let's not forget Christian's appearance on the ship, which directed Walt's dad to keep the ship around long enough to ensure that the helicopter people could not die on the ship, but couldn't get enough fuel to get back to the island, thus causing the saving of the Oceanic 6.
What we are looking at here is an elaborate plot, as to why this plot has been set in motion or any background story, we really are going to have to wait for another season to find out. The things that we can be sure of:
>> The dead body in the Dharma van is not Syed, as Syed took the jacket labeled "Horace" not Roger.
>> John Locke is dead.
>> The fallout from the atomic blast clearly is why the hatch said "quarantine" on it, and more than likely why no female can have a baby on the island. Also would explain why people had to wear radioactive jumpsuits whenever leaving the hatch.
Did the blast negate the magnetic energy? More than likely not, but it almost certainly sent Jack, Kate, Sawyer and others to the present, otherwise what could Jacob have been talking about when he said "they're coming." And lets face it, you can't continue a show where the only people that make things happen are stuck 30 years in the past.
======================================
Note: It's been theorized that Jacob and his brother Esau can't kill each other. (One is clothed in white, the other in black when we meet them... good vs evil?) We also see a ship coming to the island which is probably the Black Rock. Richard Alpert is probably on this ship.
It's also probable that Locke was nothing special and is now the "bad" guy while Jack has always been the "good" guy.
P.S. the PVP strip was hilarious today!!

PVP was hilarious!!!
Interesting Theories...
Roger-Workman was in the van when it was gassed by Ben so that's Ben's Dads body and we all know he had a drinking problem.
I believe Miles was right that they caused the incident and everything will stay the same.
I'm guessing is the loophole is them trying to kill each other. When UnLocke came back to the island he was wearing the suit which was black, but in the opening of the show when 815 crashed..Locke was wearing a white shirt
