But Harry can't be a true hero at the very end if he had others fighting his real fights for him, so he had to kill off Sirius and Dumbledore...
And, I guess at the age they're supposed it be, it's expected, but there was too much teenage couple stuff in this. I wanted more action!

As you read it, do you picture the characters from the movies, or do you still have the pictures of them in your head from before the movies. Harry's pretty spot on for her description, but not all of the others are!
The same thing has happened to me in the Lemony Snicket series. My mental picture of the characters was very different from the actors they chose for A Series of Unfortunate Events, but now as I read the others, I picture the actors. It's kindof disconcerting.
Anyway, back to HBP. Do you think there's still a twist to the Snape story to come? I mean, I still don't get why Dumbledore trusted him no matter what--there's got to be something else there.
And, I hate hanging storylines/loose ends--I mean, are Dobby and Kreacher still supposed to be following Malfoy? They obviously didn't do a great job on the surveillance, but still, that was their last mention in the plot.

I thought up until the end that Snape was too easy. Harry has hated him for the entire series (Maybe in the end I trust Dumbledore too  ). I really don’t think there will be a twist at the end with Snape. Dumbledore pleaded for his life and thought enough to keep Harry protected. As for Dobby and Kreacher I wouldn’t be surprised if they were still watching Malfoy. It seems like the kind of thing J.K.R. would do. She is very good about lose ends and connecting her books. |
