A friend of mine suggested a couple of years ago to get a group of people together to see those classic movies that we've never seen. You know, movies that are 'must-sees' or have had a big impact on pop culture. Movies like Casablanca and Airplane! that we may have missed along the way.
I'd like to get something together like that within our group. We could start out with the AFI's Top 100 and pick one off there and then watch it. If it's on VHS, we can watch it at my place. If it's DVD, then it's anybody's place.
Any takers?

Oh that would be so awesome. I've been getting old movies for a few years now and there are like hundreds of great movies everyone would like.
TCM shows a lot of the great movies. Citizen Kane is excellent. It's a totally flawless movie. Plus we could have like a theme weekend like all Hitchcock or Kubrick. What do you think, Elizabeth? Guys?

Oooh, Hitchcock sounds good! But as for a weekend, i dunno. Maybe we should stick to maybe one movie a week, or something like that?

Yeah that sounds better. Marathons only on special occasions.

THX-1138 anyone? Mr. Lucas' thesis turned feature film starring Robert Duvall as the title character. I've seen it before, but wouldn't mind seeing it again. Probably only on VHS @ Hastings.
