I wasn't an avid Buffy and Angel watcher but I have been trying to catch the last few episodes. I just watched the episode with Deliria (sp.?) faking Fred and that was so warped. I didn't think the girl could act but I am super impressed. I really liked that but I didn't like the random trip to Italy by Spike and Angel. I was actually hoping to see Buffy. Those two were funny but I thought the plot was lacking. I definitely preferred the Wesley and Deliria dynamic.

I'l keep it short since I'm at work. Great episode. It did feel it was rushed and I hated the way it ended but it was also a fitting note to go out on. I hated Angel signing away his soul (Nick you were right Angel does have the worst life of all the immortals). But everything else was great. I really liked how Angel killed Hamilton. And at the very end I really like Illyria's character. "I will make trophies of their spines." More when I get time"Personally, I want to slay the dragon." Once again link to really good Angel site: cityofangel.com/main/index.html

One thing Eliz think, he didn't sign away his soul he signed away any chance of becoming human again. Wesley's death was pretty touching, what the hell happened w/Lindsey and Lorne, was that on Angel's orders or was it a favor since Lorne's read him on mutiple occasions and knew that he was only goig to continue being evil. Lastly, the fianl seen was perfect for a movie continutation, even though I don't think Gunn could have made it through.

I think it was an okay ending too. I got really teary-eyed during the Wesley and Fred scene. That is super-sweet. I didn't care for the whole let's end the show fighting. It was witty when Angel said that but it just seemed really pale in comparison to the Wesley and Fred ending but I suppose, how could it beat that ending.

Yeah the Wes/Fred thing was touching. And Spike reading his poetry was awesome. It took him a hundred years but he finally found his audience "...effulgent"

Conner: I know you're my father. Angel: You got your memories back. Conner: I get what you did. I'm grateful.
Conner: Have you ever written a resume before? Ever? Angel: No. But I have very nice handwriting. Conner: You girl.
Illyria To Gunn: Try not to die. You are not unpleasant to my eyes.
Angel: One of you will betray me. (Spike raises his hand). Wes... Spike: Ohh..can I at least deny you three times?
(Last line of the series) Angel: Let's go to work.
Connor: So vampires really don't get the concept of 'jokes'. Angel: I get the concept of jokes. I was at the taping of the first Carol Burnett show. Tim Conway was on fire. It was special.
Lindsey: You gave up immortality for me. It's like some kind of fairy tale. Eve: We don't live in a fairy tale.
Illyria: I'll make trophies of their spines. Angel: Good to have you on the team.
Vale: Really, I crap better magic then this.
Lindsey: Those guys were chumps. Lorne: Now they're chunks.
Lorne: (last line) Good night, folks.
Hamilton: Let me say this as clearly as I can. You cannot beat me. I am a part of them. The wolf, the ram and the hart. Their strength flows through my veins - my blood is filled with their ancient power. Angel: Can you pick out the one word you probably shouldn't have said? (bites him, punches him) Wow, you really are full of it.
Eve: What the hell's going on? Angel: Looks like we're getting kicked out of the garden, Eve.
Illyria: Wes is dead. I'm feeling grief for him. I can't seem to control him. I wish to do more violence.
Gunn: Okay, you take the 30,000 on the left.
Lindsey: (last line) A...flunky? Angel kills me!
Illyria: I will shred my adversaries. I'll pull their eyes out just enough to turn them towards their mewling, mutilated faces. Wesley: You're a very inspirational person, have I mentioned that?
[Spike reads poetry at a bar.] Spike: "My soul is wrapped in harsh repose, Midnight descends in raven-colored clothes, But soft...Behold! A sunlight beam, Cutting a swath of glimmering gleam. My heart expands, 'Tis grown a bulge in it, Inspired by your beauty...effulgent." Man: Yeah! (applause) That was great, man. Spike: Thank You. That was for Cecily. This next one's called The Wanton Folly of me Mum.
Hamilton: Why do you keep fighting? You signed away your Shanshu. There's nothing in it for you anymore. Angel: People who don't care about anything will never understand the people who do. [Hamilton punches Angel across room.] Hamilton: Yeah, but we won't care. [Conner hits Hamilton through window.] Conner: Care about that, Dress-for-Less?
[Building rumbles.] Conner: Uh, that's not good, is it? Angel: Wolfram & Hart. Looks like they're taking the gloves off. Conner: What do we do? Angel: You go home. Conner: Huh? Angel: This is my fight. Conner: That's some serious macho--Aah! [Building begins to collapse.] Angel: Go home...now. Conner: They'll destroy you. Angel: As long as you're okay, they can't. Go.

Vail: You have ascended, Angel. You should not be burdened with this kind of--(gasps) Aah! Sebassis! Your manservant has become entangled in my bodily fluids again! (Angel pushes the slave) Slave: Eeeep!
Vail: We are most interested in Mr. Wyndam-Price. He seems intriguingly unstable. Senator Brucker: Mr. Gunn, on the other hand, does not, which is a pity. He had so much potential. Sebassis: He is not, however, our greatest concern. Angel: If the next words out of your mouth are kill Spike, we just might have to kiss.
Angel: You haven't heard a word I've said. For, like, years back. Lindsey: Well, you get a little speechy, all right? I breeze out. I got the Cliff Notes--honor and humanity. Absolute good. I heard it. So here's the plot twist--I'm in. Angel: Why? Lorne: Everybody goes on about your soul. Vampire with a soul. Nobody ever mentions the fact that you're really a vampire with big brass testes. This is gonna be a circus. I mean, win or lose, you're about the pick the nastiest fight since mankind drop-kicked the last demon out of this dimension. And that you don't do without me. If you want me, I'm on your team. Angel: I want you, Lindsey. I'm thinking about rephrasing that. Lorne: Yeah, I think I'd be more comfortable if you did.
Gunn: What if i told you it doesn't help? What would you do if you found out none of it matters? That it's all controlled by forces more powerful and uncaring than we can conceive, and they will never let it get better down here. What would you do? Annie: I'd get this truck packed before this new stuff gets here. Wanna give me a hand? Gunn: I do.
Wesley: There is no perfect day for me, Illyria. There is no sunset or painting or finely-aged scotch that's going to sum up my life and make tonight any...there is nothing that I want. Illyria: You want to be with Fred. Wesley: Yes. Yes, that's where I'd be if I could. Illyria: I could assume her shape, make her come alive again this once for you. But you would never ask me to. Wesley: The first lesson a Watcher learns is to separate truth from illusion. Because in the world of magics, it's the hardest thing to do. The truth is that Fred is gone. To pretend anything else would be a lie. And since I don't actually intend to die tonight, I won't accept a lie.
Connor: I know you're my father. Angel: You got your memories back. Connor: Yeah, they're mixed in there with the new ones. Kind of like, uh...a bad dream I had, I guess. A very strange and violent, at times, inappropriately erotic...dream. Angel: You probably have a lot of questions. Connor: No. I don't want to make a thing. I get what you did. You know...I'm grateful. That's as far as I want to take it...OK?
Lorne: Hey, Ange, I, I'll do this last thing for you, for us...but then I'm out, and you won't find me in the alley afterwards. Hell, you won't find me at all. Do me a favor. Don't try.
Spike: What do you think all this means for that Shanshu bugaboo? If we make it through, does one of us get to be a real boy? Angel: Who are you kidding? We're not gonna make it through. Spike: Well, long as it's not you.
Angel: Get out of the building. Harmony: Are you firing me? Angel: Among other things, yes. Harmony: Do you think I could get a recommendation? Angel: Yeah, OK. Harmony: But see, if you don't so much live as the other thing-- Angel: It's already in the desk. Harmony: You're the best.
Angel: What the hell are you doing here? Connnor: Come on. You drop by for a cup of coffee, and the world's not ending? Please.
Lindsey: You don't think a man can change? Lorne: It's not about what I think. This was Angel's plan. Lindsey: Come on. I could sing for you. Lorne: I've heard you sing. (shoots him) Lindsey: Why--why did you... Lorne: One last job. You're not part of the solution, Lindsey. You never will be. Lindsey: You kill me? A flunky?! I'm not just...Angel...kills me. You...Angel... Lorne: (sighs) Good night, folks.
Illyira: You'll be dead within moments. Wesley: I know. Illyria: Would you like me to lie to you now? Wesley: Yes. Thank you. Yes. ( she changes into Fred) Hello there. Fred: Oh, Wesley. My Wesley. Wesley: Fred. (whispering) I 've missed you. Fred: (kisses him) It's gonna be OK. It won't hurt much longer, and then you'll be where I am. (crying) We'll be together. Wesley: I--I love you. Fred: I love you. My love. Oh, my love.
Gunn: Any word on Wes? Illyria: Wesley's dead. I'm feeling grief for him. I can't seem to control it. I wish to do more violence. Spike: Well, wishes just happen to be horses today. AngelGunn: You take the 30,000 on the left. Illyria: You're fading. You'll last 10 minutes at best. Gunn: Then let's make it memorable. Spike: In terms of a plan? Angel: We fight. Spike: Bit more specific. Angel: Well, personally, I kind of want to slay the dragon. Let's go to work.

CHICAGO, DAY 2: JOSS WHEDON TALKS "X-MEN" AND MORE Editor in Chief of Marvel Comics Joe Quesada introduced one of the star writer's currently in Marvel's employ to an enthusiastic crowd late Saturday afternoon. That star is the writer of the "Astonishing X-Men" and creator and executive producer of "Buffy The Vampire Slayer," "Angel" and "Firefly," Joss Whedon. Whedon opened by apologizing to the crowd for any incoherence he might experience as he explained that he had been shooting "Serenity," the motion picture follow up to the television series Firefly, until one in the morning. He also demonstrated his exhaustion with an entertaining and well -executed pratfall. Immediately opening the floor to questions, the first topic addressed was that of which season of "Buffy The Vampire Slayer" meant the most to him. "I don't think I'll ever be able to top 'Angelus.' It taught us all about what it's like to sleep with a man," said Whedon to a response of uproarious laughter. That was followed by many boy's boarding school jokes. "Angelus is the first time we got to say to people that nothing is safe," he added. From there, the subject of "Angel" TV movies was addressed. "There has just been a regime change at the WB," noted Whedon. He explained that when that happens, it is not uncommon for the new to do away with anything associated with the old (i.e. Joss Whedon properties). Whedon also said that the WB isn't the only place where an "Angel" TV film could be done. "No one has really given me a firm answer. There is interest at Fox Production. Because I'm in the middle of filming, I haven't been able to pursue it as much as I could." One fan asked why the Angel series was ended on a cliffhanger when the series had been cancelled and there is no promise of telefilms. In response, Whedon comically bellowed "Don't call it a cliffhanger!" He said that the ending meant that "you never have to stop fighting. You never get to stop fighting if you want to be a decent human being." Asked about the revival of the animated "Buffy" project that had once been set for Kids WB, Whedon updated the crowd. "A rough cut of a three-minute presentation is being put together. It doesn't have a home right now." Whedon added that Fox Productions is interested in this property also. From there the floor was opened to its first comics related question, though still in a Buffy vein. "I would love to do some more 'Fray,'" he said of his Dark Horse project which chronicled the adventures of a vampire slayer in the future. "I have thought of some stuff for a second arc. I would love to do it with Karl Moline again." Things took a mutant turn with talk of Whedon's current turn handling the "X-Men." Asked if he would continue beyond the contracted 12-issue run, Whedon responded "I don't want to think about beyond that. Number six is taking longer than it should, but filming is almost over. Don't worry, I'm not 'Fray-ing out' on you," Whedon said, referring to his problems in getting that series out in a timely manner. "I love Morrison's 'X-Men,'" he continued. "I feel like the guy bringing in extra pairs of socks to fill Morrisons shoes." Don't miss CBR's interview with Whedon about "Astonishing X-Men" here. On the possibility of Whedon directing the third X-Men film. "I guess Bryan left the house," he said, referring to former X-Director Bryan Singer's departure from Fox Studios to Warner Brothers and the Superman film. "It sounds like a me-treat, but right now I have other X-Men to deal with...the astonishing ones. [Artist] John Cassaday may be a god, but I still have to write it well. That's where my mind's at right now." The possibility of directing from another writer's script was raised. "I don't see that happening," he replied. "I can see collaborating with any number of the talented people I know," he said naming off the various former staff members of his television series. "To take something that is completely somebody else's would be an interesting challenge, and therefore, I wouldn't do it." Also on the topic of motion pictures, Whedon mentioned "I have, my entire life, wanted to do a stage musical. Even more than that i want to make an original film musical." Con-goers were also treated to a short trailer for "Serenity" which elicited a tremendous favorable response from the audience. Whedon gave a release date of April 22, 2005. Serenity may not be confined to just the silver screen either. "We are definitely looking at "Firefly" and now "Serenity" for the

Here's a story I copied from a thread at DVDtalk.com: In a surprising turn, newly ensconced WB head Garth Ancier admitted that cancelling ANGEL may have been a mistake. During the TV Critics Press Tour yesterday, Ancier claimed that had the network and producers Twentieth Century Fox held off the February decision, ANGEL might have been renewed: "The mistake that was made between us and Twentieth was that we didn't wait until May, we just made the decision early based upon their request." Last year, ANGEL was "on the bubble" and renewed at the last moment. Typically, series' fates are decided by programmers once all new show pilots are previewed. This time around, the producers and ANGEL creator Joss Whedon requested that the network make an early February call for renewal. Then-CEO Jordan Levin informed Whedon over dinner that ANGEL would be axed. The WB had two highly anticipated potential genre series, Lost in Space and Dark Shadows, neither of which panned out, leaving a hole in the program schedule. Dark Shadows, in particular, was expected to be a drop-in replacement for ANGEL, but says Ancier, the production did not "gel." Series "on the bubble" could go either way. This past season, two such genre shows, UPN's Star Trek: Enterprise and FOX's Tru Calling, were renewed just prior to the "Up Fronts" -- when networks showcase their Fall line-up for potential advertisers. According to Ancier, there's still interest in doing special ANGEL TV movies, but that David Boreanaz would need some "coaxing" to return to the role. Ancier's statements may be viewed as a way to distance his new WB administration from that of former CEO and chief programmer Jordan Levin, who resigned last month and was seen as responsible for the end of ANGEL.

Charisma Carpenter will guest star in Charmed on Sunday.
David Boreanz has auditioned for the role of Superman and director, Barry Singer, was rather impressed with his reading and he has moved on to round two of auditions. Now, that would be an interesting choice for Superman.
