I had DVR'd the SciFi War of the Worlds movie that C Thomas Howell was in and just watched it.
I think I wouldn't have liked it even if I hadn't had the other one to compare it to.
It spent a lot of time moralizing and talking about religion which I don't remember so much from the book by Wells, but who knows. Guess I should reread it and see.
And there was hardly any fx for the creatures.

I didn't even know about that one until I saw it at Best Buy. Rod told me that it was on SciFi...
I had read Aldus Huxley's Brave New World while I was in the Air Force and really enjoyed it. I tried sitting through the SciFi version of it and I couldn't. Leonard Nimoy just wasn't working for me, and it was screwy that almost every scene was at a Rave. In my opinion, SciFi just doesn't have it down just yet. I hope that they do eventually, but until then....

I liked SciFi's adaptation of Earthsea Trilogy, though.

Over the break I read I, Robot. Nothing like the movie to say the least.
I've had Player Piano sitting on my desk for a while but can't get into it.
