I did find it interesting that apparently many Spartans had British. Scotch, and Irish accents:)
Our theater had a full house in the movie and a line outside when we left. Except for Star Wars and Lord of the Rings, that never happens at Temple theaters.
SPOILER ALERT:
Our crowd clapped when the queen stabbed the traitor guy!!

well I saw it on saturday,It was a pretty good movie,I like the very end a year later after the 300 spartans had died.I would have loved to see the 10,000 spartans kick butt. Xerxes was gay wasnt he?lol.They always have to have some gollum type creature in a movie now like the hunchback that wanted to get laid so he betrayed leonidas to xerxes.

Yeah, I loved it too. I saw it on Friday night at our local theater, but I definitely want to check it out on an IMAX screen.

Saw a story on CNN where some ambassador from Iran said that the movie is a hostile act against them because it "rewrites" history to portray Persia (modern Iran) as the evil guys. Can't we even see a really good graphic novel story without trying to find political overtones  |

It's the world we live in Amy. I think many ancient civilizations could be considered "evil" by our Christian beliefs-Romans, Egyptians etc.
