Sorry we didn't make it John boy I was still pretty sad yesterday and not very good company. Joe took the night off so I wouldn't be by myself ;D We caught it last night. It was pretty good. But I'll keep it short until everyone has seen it.

Movie was pretty cool, too much charater develpment and not enough fighting though.I think the sequel will be alot better though now that the characters are already well explained.

How was it compared to like X-Men or the Spiderman movies? I really loved those. I like a well told story first, and special effects next.

I'd say it's on par with the first x-men movie. Like Robert said, a lot of character development, but that's what it takes to learn more and love the characters more.
Michael Chiklas was great as Ben Grimm. I guess looking back on it, the action was a bit small, but I think the story was great.

It's also not as good as Batman Begins or the first two Superman movies.

I thought the movie was pretty good but I've never been a huge fan of Fantastic 4 so I didn't really care.

I'd say I liked the movie, but I didn't love it.
but, if there's a sequel, I'd go see it because I did like the characters
It was also kindof disconcerting to me to watch Ioan G. because I'm so used to seeing him as Horatio Hornblower in that series!

I agree. I loved Chiklas as The Thing. I think he was the best part of the movie. Ioan G. seemed very Jeff Goldblumish (JP2) to me. Horatio Hornblower - that's British, right?

Hornblower is a British TV miniseries based on C.S. Forester's novels. Think a younger version of Master and Commander.

I liked it because each portion of the miniseries is a little different because it traces his career as a naval officer. But it's not all sea battles.
And it's also a realistic portrayal of that time in history about the war too, so that's pretty interesting.
I bought some of the DVDs for my dad, and he really likes them.
But you know how I am about all things British; I love it!
