scalpers will be very dissapointed come april 2nd because instead of a one 1 per case figure there will be SEVERAL 1 per case figures in each box.Which basically will kill the rareity of an item.good going hasbro!finally they are doing something about scalping!

the walmart exclusives are a darth vader carrying case with a anakin and clone trooper figure inside,and the other one is a replica remake of the early bird kit from the 1970's complete with figure cardboard backdrop and free honorary hyperspace pass!!I have heard there will be plenty of each come april 2nd.

I received in the mail today from Target a pretty cool postcard like foil of Anakin and Obi-Wan fighting in the lava..........on the back it mentioned about the Darth Vader Exclusive and a peel off for $1 off every figure you buy on April 2..........

Okay, okay... I *personally* prefer the one team thing, for several reasons. One, it's more fun with all of us there. Second, we can identify the 'scalpers' better. Here's the options: One Team. Probably Hewitt first, then Franklin. PROS - more of a 'team' effort; CONS - fighting ourselves for the stuff we want. Two Teams. 3 to Hewitt, 3 to Franklin. Meet up, say at the Hollywood afterwards? PROS - not fighting for limited resources; see more people CONS - less of a 'team' Three Teams. 2 to Hewitt, 2 to Franklin, 2 to Bellmead. Meet up, PROS - more resources. CONS - who wants to go to bellmead? I'm not really wanting to go to Bellmead all that badly, and I know that I would end up going there. So my suggestion is 2 3person teams, probably John, Robert, and Rod at Hewitt, and Joe, Elizabeth and I at Franklin. We could all meet up at the Hollywood afterwards to show off our trophies and then head home. I don't plan on buying much for myself, but I think I'll want one or two things. Whatever we decide on, I'll do. Just remember, we'll need to hit the Target up fairly early too. Fred's saying we should get there by 7, but I'm thinking earlier. Not that I want to be up that early, but hey... |

True, true... I think our excitement is getting a little out of hand.
I say we do recon prior to picking the spot. Remember last time, Bellmead didn't have anything out, but Franklin had everything out like at 8p. Then K-Mart was putting theirs up at midnight.
After the recon, we should decide where to go and go in force (get it, force!) together. I think Joe is absolutely correct that it won't be a case of not getting what we want.

Here's what I propose. We go see the movie (except Rod the Working Stiff). After the movie lets out, we'll do recon. We'll hit Hewitt, Franklin, and Bellmead Wal-Marts. I'm not sure if we all want to go together, or split up and hit the stores separately. We'll meet up somewhere and discuss our findings then decide from there. I would like for us to all go to the same wal-mart together, a show of force, so to speak. Then after that, we can hit the second best wal-mart together. Then we can all meet up at Target early in the morning (like what, 6? 7?) to buy the exclusive Vader - which Fred told me there's only 35 (well, 36, but one's spoken for! heh) Sound good, everyone? - EDIT - Hasbro has a list of Wal-Marts that are going to be open for the release of the toys at 12:01a and none of ours are on there. Either they were left off, or they're (gasp) not doing it.  BTW The Temple Wal-Mart is listed. Only 5 TRU stores in TX will be open at midnight, and ours ain't one. Target's the other big spot, but we know the deal there already. |

only 35-well I will be there at 5 am since I live so close to target.Also ALL 24-hour walmarts now will be putting out merchandise at 12.pm (on hasbros web site it said ONLY a few would have mercvhandise for sale at 12 pm).Also walmart exculsives will only be sold at paticipating wal-mart 48 hours of the force locations(closest are temple ,killeen,and coperass cove)no waco stores are slated for the 48 hours of the force events.
