Actually, I do have cards. And chips. And Tripoly! We could play tripoly. IT's fun, and Christy is always up for a game. Takes a little explaining, but it's grand fun.

By sick, do you mean "too much time alone with the fleshlight?" Just Kidding.... Hope you get to feeling better. It's probably best you didn't show up, though Robert. We probably would have taken all your chips and then most of your clothes and then chained you up outside with the dog. We were pretty ruthless with our POKER SKILLS. Heh. Not really. We missed having you.

Feb. 19th. 6:30ish.
What do we want to do? I think another 'poker night' would be fun. I haven't put the table in the garage. It's disassembled and in my bedroom right now. Tripoley was fun, with the exception of David's 'intervention.'
We could do poker, say 1¢ (white), 5¢(blue), and 10¢(red)? Bring like $3-$5?
We also bought a 15" pizza stone at HEB, so I'm kinda interested in making a pizza, ya know, from scratch. I'll look into making the dough and getting the sauce. If anyone is interested in a particular topping, then we'll add it. Pepperoni's easy, but sausage and hamburger will require special attention. Gay Ass Vegetables aren't a problem, except for those who aren't into gay ass vegetables.
So? Or should we just meet at Jason's?

I looked up the rules for Texas Hold'em. We were playing mostly right. *note: he and his are used in a non-gender specific role in order to save keystrokes. 1) We shouldn't have done ante. We're supposed to post the blinds, that is, player one (to the left of dealer) tosses in 1/2 of the min. bet (say in a $5 min, he'd put in $2.50), and player two puts in $5. 2) Dealer deals out 2 cards to everyone. 3) Betting goes around. Check, raise, fold, call. 4) Dealer discards top card. Deals 3 cards face up (the flop), which players use to make up a hand of 5. 5) Betting continues. 6) Dealer discards top card. Deals 1 card face up, the turn card. 7) Betting continues. Minimum bet usually doubles in this round. 8) Dealer discards top card. Deals 1 card face up, the river. Players use any combo of 5 cards to get the best hand. 9) Betting continues. 10) SHOWDOWN begins: Player to the left of the last player to call lays down his cards, this continues around the table. Player showing the best hand, wins. For those interested, here's the site I got this from: www.texasholdem-poker.com/beginnersintro.phpHere's the betting structure. Personally, I like the spread limit the best (pre-flop/flop $1-$5; turn and river $1-$10) But we can do what we want when it happens.

Picked up a couple of chip sets from target. I wanted to get the one in the aluminum case (11.5g), but I ended up getting two of the wooden cases(8g). 100 more chips, 2 more decks. The chips are lighter, but I now have 200 white, 100 blue, 100 red. I didn't like the quality of the cards that came with it, so I picked up a couple of bicycle decks, because they're always good and durable.

Cool. I almost bought the revolving chip thing, but I opened it up and it had the 4.5g chips. Since I have the 8g chips, I didn't want to get anything other than the 8g chips.
We went to get our oil changed at the Hewitt Wal-Mart yesterday afternoon, so we spent about 2 hours milling around. I looked at poker stuff at least 3 times. If you got the table I think you got, that's a nice table. I'm gonna get some fabric to make a 'tablecloth' for our table so it's more 'poker friendly.'

Okay, We're not making pizza as I had originally planned. We'll order it, if that's cool with everyone. I think that Papa John's still has the 5 toppings for $10 if I'm not mistaken.

I had a great time, guys! We should do this a little more often. (After counting the change, I was up $1.52)
Rod got in a little after 11p and we played cards (not for cash this time) until about 1. Had a blast, even if John/David spilled a beer and tea on the table. Felt was washed and is hanging up right now, so it should be fine. Maybe have a better 'lived in' feel next time around.
