Welcome to the Waco Fan Force, The Bounty Hunter's Guild!
Please use this thread to introduce yourself to the group. Most of us have been with this group since before Attack of the Clones came out in 2002. Our interests are wide and don't just include Star Wars. We all share a love of science-fiction, movies, books, and other aspects of not only Star Wars, but life in general.
Please take a minute and tell us a little about yourself!

I'll start by introducing myself. My name is Toby, but I usually go by Brood or BroodMcEto on most boards. I joined the Waco Fan Force in January 2002. Shortly after AotC, I moved to Abilene and helped start the Abilene Fan Force, the Sith Syndicate. In October of 2003, we moved back to Waco and have been living here since. I first saw Star Wars as a 3 1/2 year old kid with my parents. My mom took me three times to see it the first week it was out! My earliest memories include buying the 3pack of Marvel SW comics at a laundromat, getting my exclusive Sears Cantina pack w/ the famed Blue Snaggletooth, and playing Star Wars in the backyard with my friends and cousins. Currently I'm the City Rep. for this group. I have only been the CR for a few months and I'm still getting the hang of putting together events and meetings that we can all attend. I like to costume as well. I have worked on a Boba Fett (maybe you saw me at Graham's costume contest back in 2001), and a Jango Fett. Unfortunately, I haven't completed either of them. I have also put together a sith costume, based on what I thought Ep3 Anakin would look like. Only thing is that I created it the Halloween after Ep2 and George Lucas didn't call me up to get the info on it. So, sad to say, my sith costume doesn't resemble Ep3 much at all. I also have a couple of projects that I'm working on. Check it out.I love to play Xbox when I can. I go by BroodMcEto (surprise) on Live and you can usually catch me playing either Halo2 or Outlaw Golf 2. I do play other games from time to time, but I haven't bought any new titles lately. I used to enjoy going to the movies, but now that I have two little rugrats, getting a sitter and actually going are a little tougher. I do make it out from time to time. Even though many of our members make it to conventions regularly, I've only been to two: WizCon last November and Celebration 3 this past April. I look forward to making it to more conventions, especially once I get my projects finished. Well, that about sums it up for me. I sort of keep a website up about my family, so if you want, you can take a look at it.Oh, and you don't have to write so much about yourself if you don't want, but feel free to let those words flow!

Nice Bio Tob! BTW, how is the stormtrooper armor coming? As for my bio--at least regarding work/school, check out the Cantina under "who I am and what I'm doing". Personally, I have a great hubby and wonderful daughter. We all love to geocache as a family. As for sci-fi related interests, I love techno-thrillers--anything by Michael Critchton, the Hitchhiker's Guide series, Star Wars (of course) and, please don't come after me with a light saber--Star Trek the original series.

Hey. Name is Elizabeth. I’ve been a member since the very first meeting back in April ‘01 and active ever since. Served as chapter rep for 3 ½ years before stepping down in November last year when I was promoted to RSA (Regional Support Administrator) for the MidSouth region. Trust me it sounds more important then it is. Right now I’m the lowly web master for the Waco FanForce. I graduated from UMHB in ’03. And I’m waiting my life to settle down long enough for me to enroll in grad school. Right now I’m looking at a Master’s of Library Science from TWU. I work at the MCC library has a library technician. It’s an OK job it works for now. Loved Star Wars since I can remember. Someone gave my dad a bootleg copy of ‘A New Hope’ and I watched it until the tape wore out. Family legend says my first full sentence was ‘I want to watch Star Wars again.’ Darth Vader scared me and I thought stormtroopers were robots (Yeah, yeah lay off I was 3). Fan of pretty much all that is Star Wars. Read the books, comics, buy toys when they suit me, frequent messages boards, go to cons/toy shows, and love getting into arguments about why Mara Jade is not a Star Wars character. Other loves included but are not limited to; MST3K, Buffy, Angel, X-Files, Firefly, and Adult Swim. Also eagerly awaiting the next Harry Potter book. And don’t worry Cindy I’ve been known to watch ‘the Trek’ myself. I also try to read as many books and go to as many movies as I can. Currently engaged to the most wonderful man on the planet. I met my kind loving Joe at the first FanForce meeting over four years ago. Nerd love. I recommend it. We are getting married this year, we know when but no one else does. As of late I can be found playing City of Heroes. If you’re into that sort of thing my global handle is @fireenchantress.

Hi, my name is Sarah and I've just joined the boards. I've been active with Jedi OKC (Oklahoma City FanForce) since it began in 2001, but I'm going to attend Baylor in the fall so I'll be moving to Waco.
I have typical nerdy interests including X-Files (I love the Lone Gunmen), James Bond, comics and Jeopardy. I read a lot (SW EU and other things) and I'll be double majoring in Museum Studies and History.
I look forward to meeting you all later this year!

Yes, welcome Forcewhispers--I'm new to the boards too, but one thing I do know is you've joined a great group of folks. As for Baylor, I'm finishing up my degree this year in the Ed Psych Dept. I took a few history courses though--let me know if you have Dr. Rust--the name says it all..."Rust" + "History Professor" = you'd better bring a triple latte to class with you!!

Hello Fellow Star Wars fans, my name is Rod and I am 29yrs old, I go by SaberKnight76 on almost all of the boards I attend. I am a single parent and am currently raising two girls, Sierra 9yrs and Ariyana 7yrs. Both love Star Wars as much as I do, one funny fact is that they can pretty much quote Revenge of the Sith line for line with the music off of the soundtrack. My first memory of star wars was Empire Strikes Back at the old theater behind the Lake Air Mall, I also remember making my dad pull over to the side of the road one day so that I could hear the Radio Drama version of Star Wars.....ahh the memories I currently have a Mace Windu costume, as you can see in the picture to the left, I also now have 2 Master Replicas Mace Windu Lightsabers, one for show and one to use in our skits. It was only this year that I became serious about costuming, I hope to have my costume as accurate as possible, with the help of Toby and Christy. Also after the first few trial and error attempts I hope that I can build a set of Republic Commando Armor. My love is Star Wars, but I have other interests as well. I enjoy the game of Golf, I also enjoy gaming, my current favs are Republic Commando, and Halo 2. As far as music goes, if it has a good beat I probably like it, I think I have one of the most diverse tastes in music, than most people care to admit. My collection of Star Wars figures grows all of the time, I have 3 3/4 figures, unleashed figures,12inch figures, several vehicles, the best part of my collection is several loose but in good shape original saga figures from the first Star Wars movie A New Hope. That pretty much covers it for me, ohh if your into home improvement stop by Lowe's and pay me a visit. May the Force Be With You SaberKnight76 a.k.a Rod

Well, I suppose it's my turn now. I am first and foremost a comic book geek but it's amazing how comic books and Star Wars are always connected in my life. I have been a comic book fan ever since I could afford to have this very costly obsession and I totally obsessed with the artist, Michael Turner. Well, since I couldn't date the man himself, I did the next best thing, I dated an artist. Dysfunction soon followed but I quickly found out about his obsession with Star Wars. He had toys hung up on the walls, the movies on VHS, laser disc, and dvd, and quoted it often. Of course, I had no idea where those quotes were from because I am only 22 now so I believe that would have me zero when the last of the original trilogies were released. To make a long story short, he was literally outraged that I hadn't seen any one movie of his holy trilogy so he made me sit there and watch all four movies in order of release back to back. We eventually broke-up but I stayed loyal to Star Wars.
I am born and raised in Houston and attended Baylor for the first two years of my college career. I love Professor Long!!! Anyways, I was in my local comic book store when I ran into this total hottie, Nick (knownbounty hunter), who found out that I loved Star Wars and asked me to meet some of his friends. I started to attend meetings regularly and traveled with the crew to various Cons. I have since moved back to H*town so I don't get to attend as many Cons as I would like to.
I am currently dating an even bigger Star Wars geek, Andrew, in Houston who, to my dismay, fits in way to well this group. Yay, to Geek Love.

Speak of the #devil#! After many months of gentle prompting from Phuong, I decided to join the board so I can put my two cents in. I may not be from Waco, but as Phuong said, I "fit in way too well" here, so I figured, why not? I met several of you at the Plano con in May, and I hope to be seeing you at cons to come. I don't distinctly remember a particular time when I first became a Star Wars fan, but it's been there for as long as I can remember. Aside from memorizing the original trilogy and scaring people away from playing SW Trivial Pursuit with me, I have been kind of a "closet fan." Then I met Phuong and her collections, and it unleashed a monster. Now my entire living room is SW, from the autographed toys and posters to the Unleashed figures and, yes, a few M&Ms M-pire bags (candy-less, of course). I'll pop in from time to time to chat it up with y'all, especially during Fantasy Football! Talk to ya later.

Welcome, Lanter! Glad to have you on our boards, even if you probably won't be making the meetings! If you make it back to Waco anytime, let us know and we'll try to set something up so we could all meet. Heck, we could even meet up at Jason's Deli!
