Here are some new recommendations on what has come out lately: Jack of Fables #1 and Batman #655 came out last week. I'm sure Joe and Elizabeth have picked up Jack #1 but Batman has a new team: Grant Morrison and Andy Kubert. 655 is a good place to pick up on Batman. If your looking to buy a trade or two, DMZ and Ex Machina are great reads.

Ok, then I'll suggest DMZ. It's another non-superhero book about NYC turned into a dmz when a civil war between the "free states" and America clash. The series is only about a year old so its still developing. I'm loving it so far.

Here's another suggestion I think you and Joe might like. Since ya'll like zombies, give The Walking Dead a try. I picked up the hardcover for the first 12 issues a couple weeks ago at Bankston's. It is a really good read, I have a hard time putting it down.
