I'm excited too. I just can't buy it right now. Maybe this fall. It seems like just yesterday that I bought Order of the Phoenix.
I'm also looking forward to seeing Goblet of Fire this fall.

Haven't really gotten into the books, but I love the movies--I didn't even know about Goblet of Fire coming out--cool! I know I will be in the mood for a great book when I finish all my current reading--how does this title grab you? The Effect of Perceived Challenges and Skills on the Quality of Subjective Experience? I started nodding off just typing it What I'm really craving is something, ANYTHING new by Stephen King that DOESN'T have to do with the Dark Tower series. Ok, I'm done rambling. I mainly posted just to see if my buddy Jayne the avitar showed up!

Speaking of Jayne, I just saw him today while watching The Patriot. I never realized he was into burning churches full of people. Now I know. Trailer for Goblet of Fire. Looks groooovy. Now that this book, and the movie are coming out, makes me want to re-read Goblet of Fire and Order of the Phoenix again. But, I think the rain got a good grip on those books last year. Maybe I'll catch the cliffs notes. heh...

It looked great. Hastings went all out; Kids and grown ups in costume, contests, news vans, blood drive. Lots of people.
Looked the same at BoM and B&N.

Christy said that she heard on the news that the book did $17 mil in pre-sales alone. Oh, if only I had a soul to sell....

I was out of town for a wedding this weekend, so I couldn't go to any of the midnight parties, although there were already lines at Borders and Barnes & Nobles when we went to dinner at 8ish!
I bought it early that next morning, and they gave me a free poster and glasses and stickers and a wristband--guess they were left over from the party.
I finished reading it today, so when anyone wants to talk about it, pm me or start a spoiler alert thread to discuss it!

HOLY COW! You read it all in a day? Man, you got reading skills.
Does this one follow the trend of the books getting larger and larger? Or does it break it by being smaller than OotP?

It's shorter then Order. Over 600 pages. I'm about 1/3 finished.
I'm so ticked I forgot it today I was going to read it at dinner tonight

Here is a break down of the page numbers (hardbacks) Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone - 309 Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets - 341 Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban - 435 Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire - 734 Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix - 870 Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince - 652

I usually read a book every night or every other night. I'm a voracious reader!
But when it's a good storyline with characters you're already familiar with, it should read fast!!
