(AP) - The dark side is strong with this one. Fans will be severely dissappointed with the latest news about the final film in Lucas' galactic saga. The movie will be pushed back to mid-June.
CIting problems with their editing system, Lucasfilm announced today that they will have to postpone the release of the anxiously awaited last film of the trilogy. George Lucas lamented that he had hoped to keep the May 19th date as the release date, but it looks like the movie will be pushed back to mid-June.
When asked why the delay, Lucas only responded with "unforseen issues." Lucas also apologized for the problems, but also said that fans will not be disappointed with the last film in the saga.
This isn't the only "dark" moment for the movie: some key footage had been accidentally released on the internet; several actors have been plagued with a non-lethal, but painful virus upon their return from New Zealand; and George Lucas himself dissappeared for 5 days straight, rumored to be on a "death stick binge."
